Hehe, i've never seen a melt-down, worst thing was a friend throwing a tape measure at another friend, all in good fun though.

Someone threw their Valkyrie out of frustration during a tournament that brother and I attended recently.

I am frustrated by no scenarios yet. Well maybe they will not have any crazy game changing items like the infamous scenario 3.

Still cannot get over that I tabled my opponent and he got more kill points from me than I him. 19-18 and that was only half my army lol

my hat is off to any one playing mech and making it through round 3. i had to almost clear a bug player off the table just to make up for him killing 2 of my transports.

I've made like 50 Nid lists, I really don't have anybody to play with here on Base so All I can do is go over what may happen in my head. I was also humbled by my loss to a Daemon Tally list, and now am wondering just what nids have that can handle them, and still take on mech.

And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.

Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole

If you show up with a well painted & modeled army for Ard Boyz, people will automatically give you a bit of respect and assume that your probably know what you're doing. If OTOH you show up with 5 armies worth of random stuff, they're likely to peg you as a Noob and assume that you don't know the rules and how to play. It's a subtle thing, but quite common place in my experience.

I must take offense at this statement. My nicely painted Chaos force is five armies worth of random stuff. That's what the Chaos Daemons codex says to use.

Silly people expecting Chaos armies to show up in matching uniforms.

My first couple of builds with my chaos army I had several marine painted rhino's
1 inquisitor
1 salamander
2 ultramarine
2 actual chaos

I think it looks correct and even some of my chapions are former white wolfs and such. My excuse we stole it or are freshly corrupted.

It didn't happen to be a bright red Valkryie at an event in Chattanooga, did it?

If so that was my opponent...

I'm interested to hear it as well. I've had some serious rules blow-ups in my past, to where voices were raised and faces got red, but never have I been involved in a game where violence (be it directed towards flesh OR plastic) had occurred.

do tell.

Ok, it requires a bit of back story. It was at a "con" and there were two events that day a RTT and a team tournament. This particular opponent had been my last opponent in the RTT, in which the mission had been abit crazy (non-HQ units that die come back on the table) and I won do to his bad luck (unwounded Sanguinar is part of a larger combat that he loses by three, rolles three 1's for sanguinars no retreat saves). Also apparently he had a rough time getting to the con in the first place.

In the team tournament he was my round 1 opponent ( something I was not to happy about as he had not been that fun to play against the round before, but I put that down to his bad luck through out the day). Anywho, he and his teammate (a sisters player) start of with the early rule arguing (that we are forced to bring a judge over to rule in our favor), setting this up to be a none to friendly game. But I keep my spirits up and continue. Well the game is going poorly for my team but the other team seems to be in a poor mood as well. Anyway, I deepstrike a soul grinder behind his Stormraven (valkryie model) and hit and pen it with tongue. He says he gets a cover save from a nearby building. I hold my disbelief (as there was no way whatsover that the building was covering 25% of the valkryie much less 50%) and tell him no, there is no cover save. He then makes a comment about he has never had this hard of a time getting cover saves, especially in an event with a sportsmanship score. Anyway I roll on the chart and blow up his storm raven, and his response is to pick it up and toss it at his chair (he is on my side of the table) and it misses, hits the ground and loses a wing and some bits. I ask him if he would like to take a smoke break, he says no, and I go back to my turn.

Wow. Total tool bag. That being said, I saw punches thrown over a game of Mordheim. One guy was mad that the other brought guns, and they argued, then began the over-the-table slap/punching windmill, that ended when the guy who brought guns clipped the other guy,who looked completly shocked and screamed "YOU HIT ME!" and ran from the store. It was so far beyond awesome that I can't tell you how much I wish they'd had cell phone cameras back then.

No one kills more threads than me. Maybe I leave nothing else to say. Maybe my comments suck so hard people are left stunned. Who can say.

We keep trying to get Mordheim off the ground in my local club. I can only hope it ends like this!

A guy in my group started to get up to break up the 'fight' and my buddy Greg grabbed him and just said "No. Dude. No." It was so win.

Maybe it's just me, but this is indeed the funniest part.
