I say go with scenery. Either that or WHFB. You could always just select what you think is the weakest race for both systems and try to build an uber-competitive list with which to slaughter all and sundry, just as a mental exercise.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Okay, so the male version of "Cougar" is now officially "Albatross".

If I was starting a new army, I would try to build something original. You say you link being the unique DE player amongst a field of smurfs: try Chaos Dwarves for fantasy, or a Kroot/Squat army in 40k. Something people will look three times at to be sure they're really seeing it.

Give it to the folks whom you premeasured their charge distance or had to use free pivot movement to beat.

Ah, get over yourself already. There's a poll thread over in YMDC you can rant in for each of those; one by me and one by Yakface...and astonishingly, 80%+ of Dakkaites don't agree with your minority viewpoints of the rules. No need to follow me around Dakka sniping at me.

Some of those votes are from sheep.. some of those votes are from people who want to attempt to use the same exploits. Don't fool yourself into believing that people on dakka or any other message forum are anything other than the vocal minority in this hobby. I could have easily said give it to the folks who you played against where lilth used drugs she didn't have... but I digress.

Don't act all wounded and attempt to take your self esteem issues out on me. I put the obligatory after what I said.. on the interwebz that means I'm mostly kidding right?

I am completely over myself.. I am not over the way you flip flop between RAW, RAI and fluff interpretations to try and 'get over' on people who are not as familiar with the rules as they should be. If you are a good player for real.. try winning a game that matters where you don't do that. If you are so concerned with your 'nerd cred' then that is pretty much the only way to save your spiraling reputation.

Try to use some sense and don't reply to this post.. but I know you don't have the self restraint to ignore it.. ha! lolz! See ya in the ATL!

At some point a person is allowed to discuss their accomplishments and skills. This is a community to discuss the hobby, and while it looks like backdoor bragging, Dash doens't have, IIRC a local club or FLGS to bounce ideas off of. Bringing it up here isn't necessarily arrogant, and assuming that it is is short sighted.

@Blood Angel: Everybody on the internet has read smear posts, and that's what you wrote. One of the ways you can tell: the only time people bring up the declining reputation of another is when they're actively trying to assist the decline.

So asked and answered.

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG
-"Don't mind Frazzled. He's just Dakka's crazy old dude locked in the attic. He's harmless. Mostly."
