Forgive me, but I thought Daybreakers was a really interesting take on vampirism. It wasn't the best movie, but at least it gave me a distraction from the romanticized trash that has been all the rage lately.

Unlike most people, I actually preferred Blade II to the original or Trinity. Guillermo Del Toro succeeded in creating a much darker film than the original. The writing was better, the acting was better, and I thought the Daywalkers were a really interesting concept. Unfortunately, Trinity ruined everything that the second film succeeded in, and the only saving grace of that movie was Ryan Reynolds.

I really liked Posey Parker in Blade Trinity, but only because I want to put my devil in her, the rest of the movie was terrible.

Man, apart from the first episode, that was a dreadful piece of television: Hackneyed characters, poor acting, cliches..... Almost as bad as Kindred: The Embraced :S

Aye, that was quite a nice little surprise when I first saw it.
As to films not yet mentioned:
Nadja
Rabid
Dracula: Pages From a Virgin's Diary
Innocent Blood
Cronos
Habit
Martin
The Night Stalker
The Addiction
Ganja and Hess
Vampyr (probably the single most beautiful vampire film ever made)
The Wisdom of Crocodiles

I didnt think daybreakers was a bad flick either. The whole idea of the movie was definitely a fresh take on vampires. It was a bit slow and has Ethan whats his face (he gets on my nerves enough though) but I have to say its at least worth watching.

I thought Daybreakers was an interesting concept that was poorly execute.

While the film had some nice moments,on a whole it felt disjointed and rushed to me.

@ lokilokust.

Quite a few on your list I've not heard of,I'll have to give them a look.

However,a huge thumbs-up for Martin and The Night Stalker (I loved this series as well).

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

I'm sorry, Innocent blood, while a nice Pittsburgh film (it's weird to see them go in places I know, and see stores that have been closed for years open) But it's rather... odd. I like the idea of vampire hitmen, don't me wrong (and one of the reasons I like Vampire Hunter D).

Just had a really strange idea of a WoD adventure with mafiosi vampires and nazi werewolves...

Wait, that's part of (what passes for) the plot of Hellsing.

Does becoming a vampire automatically make women buxom or what?

From Dusk till Dawn definitely one of my favorites. Brutal monstrous vampires out for one thing, and that cool camera angle of the Titty Twister/ half buried Aztec temple a really different idea.

No mention of Dracula: Dead and Loving It? I for one am a fan of Mel Brooks' films, and his parody of Dracula is no exception.

Also a fan of From Dusk 'til Dawn, although I wish it would have explained more. I also loved the Vampire Hunter D anime movies, really awesome films to watch.

I will say that Twilight is entertaining to watch with a couple of friends riffing it the whole way through.

"The Hunger" was pretty awesome. But my all time favorite is "The Fearless Vampire Killers", from back around 1966 (directed by R.Pulanski)

I liked Let the right one in. Had a slightly different viewpoint than most Vampire movies.
Being able to watch without subtitles was also a good thing.(It's a Swedish movie)

I liked the hunger, near dark, blade and Nadja.
Also liked Blade3 solely for Parker Posey (Back atcha MGS).

Near Dark has an outstanding commentary on the dvd. Listening to the three main lead 'vampires' reminisce about ALIENS was cool (it was made by one of James Cameron's ex-wives, and she even asked 'permission' to use three of his favourite actors in it. Kathryn Bigelow even won an oscar for the most boring war film this year.)

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
