People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

+1 to rec, Flash Gordon, Thank you for Smoking.
I've been on IMDB looking at the general reception for films I love and was shocked at the differences of opinion (I know! On the internet!).
Spaceballs: 6.9/10
The Life Aquatic: 7.2/10
I heart Huckabees: 6.8/10
These are all great films. For guilty pleasure I'd have to say Troy for pure, mindless, badly-acted, source-ignoring, oiled-up, overly-violent, leather-bound fun.

When I saw people mention Super Mario Bros and Street Fighter, I thought Uwe Boll must've made them.
Then I realised he couldnt have, casue people seemed to enjoy them.

The movie was a bit cheesy with its fair share of plot holes but what I think bothers a lot of people (like myself) is how awesome it could have been had it stayed closer to its source material. In the book the mobile infantry weren't actually infantry; think more like tau crisis suits.

I'm one of the few people to see Delgo in theaters. It averaged 2 people per showing on it's opening night It was a damn good film, and shouldn't have been labeled a kid's movie!

The Adventures of Baron von Munchausen- Need I say more?
Willow-Dwarven Sorcerer, Val Kilmer as a Fighter Rogue and the drunken brownies. Whats not to like?
Ice Pirates-This one just makes me laugh.
Cut Throat Island- Great stunts and was a movie ahead of its time.

Because that movie, with the special effects of that year, would'v looked crap.
And they just went balls out and skipped most of the cheese and went straight for gore and tits.

If only we could get James Cameron to do a remake! We've already seen what he can with Pocahontas (i.e. put it in space and add aliens and robots).

Yea add me to that list as well. Small soldiers kicked ASS! I remember seeing it in the theater and was just floored at how cool it was. I swore my toys could do that stuff.
But Kazzam? Youve GOT to be trolling with that one
