Honostly they all need to be plastic. Iv noticed that the detail is far greater in the plastic. Also plastic is probably cheaper so maybe the prices could go down.

What kind of crappy metal kits are you buying, that your plastic kits are more detailed?!

Everything metal tau miniature except the Ethereals, and I'd like to second Sisters of battle, Eldar Aspects, and ogryns. It's ridiculous.

Necron Immortals. I know they are not unique, but it's 5-10 per squad, at $14 apiece, which means $70 to field them and $140 to max a single quad - that makes me a sad panda.

Yes, I know you can convert warriors but no, they are not as good looking. Come to think of it, this sounds like a job for Chapterhouse.

I kind of prefer metal models but for purposes of convenience and assembly (metal can be a pain), only individual characters or special units should be metal.

But I have to say, is it just me or is metal easier to paint? That is, for some reason I am QUICKER to paint metal and it looks better, I can't account for why

anything that is a squad of multiple models or is a large single model like a MC or vehicle should be plastic.

Anything that is a single model like HQ's or other IC's, squad upgrade characters, assassins is okay if it is metal.

Plastic is easier to paint for me.. and convert... I love plastic.. one of my main considerations for doing an army is 'can i do this nearly all plastic'

In my tau army the only metal are 2 special weapons, bits on broadsides and 4 pathfinders (I've converted the rest).

Would love to do SoB but NO PLASTIC !

Personally I'd love to see Flayed Ones made plastic and made into a box of 10 or so for around 35$. Then do the same with Immortals but maybe only throw in 5.

Also Tomb Spyders but I think they're already confirmed to switch.

I think that every race should have a plastic box allowing them to make all their generic HQ's.
Like an "Ork Leader" Box, whih lets you build a warboss with a bunch of options, or a Mek with some options.
Or a "Chaos Leader" Box which lets you make a (power armored) Lord or sorcerer.

Perhaps they're the C'tan.
