Kind of amusing analogies, but all fairly pointless... Since I'm using my Chimeras (not 100% on the plural...) as IFV's or more likely armored and armed bunkers/pillboxes, having the laser and the HB or just the laser (assuming I go with heavy flamers) and the troops inside firing out... Is it the best weapon available? No. Is it the best that comes on the vehicle? My preference is for the laser over the bolter, but that's mostly just that... My preference. Seems to work out OK when I play it. I never really count on a single multi laser to actually do a whole lot, but when there are a half dozen out there, it usually does do something...
