Thanks guys.
That's an Eotech 552 (a very early rev.F that I've been using and abusing for years) plus an Eotech magnifer in the factory Sampson mount.

I have a 512 in my safe on my ar15. I am sure yours gets much more use than a civilian safe queen. I do want to get the magnifer though. Tried one out at the range a couple weeks back and loved it.

Well, progress has stalled - I'm just burned out on painting brown stuff so time to work on some marines for bit.

Cool army, you should drill your gun barrels that are bigger than the las gun, noticeably the grenade launchers of your platoon squads, and the sniper rifles of your raven guard.
Looking forward to see you base your army and put some decals on them.

Thanks! Everything has decals in the pics (left side only on ground vehicles) and you can see the basing in the army shots (p2). Re drilling sniper rifles and grenade launchers - I did think about that and did some tests. The grenade launcher should have really thin barrel walls - I just wasn't accurate enough at drilling to capture that look. At the other extreme, laser weapons like lasguns and sniper rifles are going to have a pin-sized hole so drilling those doesn't make sense to me. The hole in the sniper rifle flash suppressor should be even smaller than this pic (which is a 5.56mm suppressor): Everything else - bolters, flamers, meltaguns, autocannons, etc, is drilled. Just my 2c.

I can't help but echo what those before me have said.
Lovely weathered looking guard army. You don't see many cadians rocking the elysians head.
That's a nice a trio of Armageddon Medusas. I've heard they can be a bit of a bugger to put together, how did you find them?
The autocannons on the chimeras are a nice conversion and I think fit in better than the FW version which looks a lot more heavy hitting.
I also use the sponge effect on my tanks, but you've gone levels above what I've managed to achieve.
Look forward to seeing more of your models.

The medusas (medusae?) weren't especially challenging (but I didn't find fire raptors difficult so YMMV). Giving the upper hulls a bath in warm water let it relieve the stress from the inevitable differential cooling and return to shape. I didn't use the floor - the underfloor module was far too nice and detailed to be wasted on just supporting the gun so I built supports from plastic stock and kept all of the floor elements.
