This is pretty silly IMO. The conversion and paint time will be rather huge and I really dont see this working.

If she was my girl I would tell her to read the fluff on the current armies and choose one. It will save a lot of time. Convert ONE HQ choice as a fairy if you must. The army can be its minions.

If she really gets into the game and her skills get good, then she should think about converting an army.

Currently collecting and painting Eldar from W40k.

I would play her XD.
I say go Eldar.
But tell her that its hard to play them.
And Faeries bah its better than most crap I've heard nowadays. Like some kid trying to make his chapter master ride a Bunny -.-
And it would be abosutely awesome sauces if you made a blog of this and got her to join Dakka Dakka. And it would be interesting what models she gets. Eldar come up to mind.
Chaos Daemons really don't hit me as we love girls.
As they scared off a few good people.
So Get eldar
Not Daemons.

From whom are unforgiven we bring the mercy of war.

Use wood & high elf models (plus conversions) for the models, and have her play a few games w/ the different types of armies (blood angels, nids, deamons, eldar) to see what fits her playstyle.

If you're a good converter, use the elves. Fairies are usually mini elves w/ wings. Give the infantry tiny wings, big wings on the jump infantry. If going the 'nid route, use small weapons/guns for the basic infantry, and bigger things (don't the high elves have eagle and dragon calvery?) for the larger things.
