The new GW plastic glue (in the smaller bottle, labelled Plastic Glue Thick) takes AGES to set, i've found in my experience, well over a day to fully set, though after a while they do set just enough for you to be able to work with the rest of the model if you're careful, the old glue formula was much better.

I will second Breotan on the Testor's Black Bottle plastic glue! Great stuff and easy to use.

I prefer Gorilla Superglue but Zap a Gap is a close second!

I always use Zap da Gap
I can rip the head off of something if I really want to, but it "generally" stays in place until I do.
