As I mentioned earlier, I'm not accepting any more testers as I'm close to a release. I appreciate the interest.

Also an awesome feature you could do is add an option to email a notepad version of your list so you can print it out

Hi.
The app is very nice, from what I've had time to test.
I only have Eldar and SM codexes, so my checks against points have not gone that far.
Apart from a possible tweak on some wording, in the menus, it's pretty much good to go.
As for the price, I usually buy apps for $3 or less.
If it's accurate, allows use of all codex options, and is usable, I'd pay around $5 for it. Less is more, looking at now people's comments about GW pricing go.
On lists, test them, refine the app to use them, then get rid of them as soon as it's released.
If it was me making this app (thanks loads for doing it), make sure there are no GW lists installed with the app. Talk to the people who make desktop-based apps, and see about their list contributors taking them on.
I've tried a couple of the other lists, and this is the best I've seen.

Skinnereal - Glad you like it! And thanks for that feedback.

The good news is that 90% of that functionality is already in there. Right now the app has an option to output to a .txt file, which is saved on your sd card (where all data files are downloaded and lists are stored). You can then use a file explorer app (I use the free app Astro) to email the file. That is a good idea to add an email function in the app itself and will add to my list of things to add in the future. Thanks for that.
Other ideas I was thinking for a mobile app that would be more of a 2.0 version include:
1) Battle Recorder - can utilize the phone's camera to take turn-by-turn pictures, have a text summary of battles, and utilize the GPS functionality to record location of battles. This would link your list to it
2) Kill point/Victory point counter - since the list is already on your phone, could use the app to help calculate
3) Customized Unit Options - add things like photos of your models that are stored on the phone or other mobile phone features to enhance personalization
4) Upload Data to central site - Could have a centralized location to record battles by uploading directly through the app
So stay tuned once this goes on the market...

That aint right. Of course it depends on the legal system you are subject to, but even Anglosaxon legal systems allow the usem of their names, even point costs, stats would be too much though.
I would have to disagree here.
WHAT YOU CANNOT DO WITH GAMES WORKSHOP'S INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Create, distribute, or use any material that devalues any Games Workshop product in any way.
That disclaimer there alongside they have more money to throw at lawyers/court than any of us and you'd probably lose if you included point values as those numbers are only contained one place and that place is inside books that Games Workshop sells.

I'm getting close to a release on the android market (hopefully in the next week or two). I can use some help though. I need someone who can take the initial charge to take over the data files and host them on a site. I can give that person the app for free along with all future updates, but I cannot compensate any more than that since I will be distancing myself from future updates and any new files going forward. Anyone interested, please message me.
All armies except for WH, DA, BT and GK are in the data file already and all will be in there before I hand it over.

I made an announcement in a different thread for the release of the app, but I also wanted to let people know that I just released a Lite version of the app for those who want to try it out before purchasing. The app is called Army Creator Mobile.

The app is on the marketplace, so you can now purchase it or download the free version if you want to test it out before buying. This will limit you to 4 units in any list. Search for "Army Creator Mobile" and you should see both versions.

Released a new update yesterday and a new data file that includes Grey Knights. You need to have the latest version (1.0.08) to read the new data file, so if you have previously purchased and want to use it then please download the new update.

Hey all,
Just letting you know that I started a blog with the data file for 40k linked to it. You can go to http://armycreatormobiledata.blogspot.com for information on it. It's fairly easy to get the file on your phone and there are a few ways listed there to do it.

I know it's been a bit, but I just posted an update for the Black Templars in the data file for Army Creator Mobile. You can go to http://armycreatormobiledata.blogspot.com/ for more details. The only armies missing now are the Dark Angels and Witch Hunters, but I plan on getting those out before the end of the month.
