I hardly think there's anything hilarious about a young kid setting fire to his important parts and then being stamped on by a few older people to put it out. It's weak, dude, real weak.

I'm pretty cynical, but even I don't go that far, possibly because I can relate to the fact that the events in that .gif would be extremely painful.

Thank God that we live over the pond.

Have you actually built any Emperor's Shields yet?

Combat Squad being built, Captain will be built when I have the time and money. I really want to do them, So far the Dusk Guard have the most points. (400 points) With just Terminators. Then +Characters (350). Wanderers have 1000 points. And the Emperorshields will have 1150, 1 vanguard, 1 tactical, 1 assault, 1 devastator, Captain, Razorback, Bikes or something like that. At least 3,000 points.

Making your own chapters that is unheard of! I have never ever made my own chapter! Bah! Its not like I have pages upon pages of lore. /sarcasm off

I indeed was a bit miffed by his post too. Yeah, I just used a word that barely even exists anymore.

I'm going to really have to go back and continue work on the ES once all of my many, many, many other projects are completed [read: shoved out of the way].

But damn then there's those juicy Grey Knights coming up.. and they're all armed with Force weapons. To think a Force weapon used to cost 40pts and now its going on 25pt Space Knights.

I'll let it go, they've got 2 wound Terminators as Troops choices, apparently. //end rumours//

Back on topic, now.

I think a poll would help to answer this question! If i had the money and wasn't stuck between warmachine (cheap and fun!) and another 40k army i would go with SW.

I play the Blood Angels, always had a thing for close combat =D.

I would like to try the Grey Knights someday, but I want to see the new models and codex first. They do have some pretty interesting fluff.

I've always liked the space wolves for their viking theme, but I don't think I'll ever play them.

ChrisWWII wrote:I eventually realized that it was apparently one die I had been rolling that kept turning up 3s. My reaction was to take said die, and hurl it out the window of the 3rd floor of our student union. I then placed a Commissar model next to the rest of my dice pile. They immediately began performing much better.

Back in the rogue trader days i played Dark Angels, 2nd edition i had a company of Silver Skulls, now im doing Star Shades which i found on the 1000 chapters project.

The galaxy is the Emperor's, and anyone or anything who challenges that claim is an enemy who must be destroyed

Angels Porphyr. Dig the color scheme and there's practically no fluff to conflict with (honestly, I've only ever found the time of their founding, a single named dread, and one conflict they sent some troops for), so I can shape them as I see fit without having to bother with a completely "from the ground up" DIY chapter.

The Dreadnote wrote:But the Emperor already has a shrine, in the form of your local Games Workshop. You honour him by sacrificing your money to the plastic effigies of his warriors. In time, your devotion will be rewarded with the gift of having even more effigies to worship.

Imperial Fists, because you know your a bad Mo' if you can wear bright yellow into battle with pride and hte enemy will be terrified because of the sheer brightness of the approah, not to mention the psych effect, I imagine the enemy commander thinking something along these lines. "My goodness, they are in bright yellow gear! If they are that confident, we must retreat for surely the yellow will be the death of us!"

If not for the mediocre who would be great, and thank goodness for those who are just terrible they make even those who are mediocre look great

I'm kinda cheating because a good 1500pts or so of that is made up from characters!

Don't worry, anyone with a big army has sizeable portions made out of one thing. Y'know, for example like that guy who used to work for Games Workshop who had 18,000 points of tanks in a 20,000 point Imperial Guard army.
