I don't think you have to worry,it seems that for the most part the "boxed army" has gone the way of the dinosaur.

Yep, solution now is to find a vendor who believes in bulk discounts, same effect, more freedom of choice.

Yeah, IIRC they did a devilfish and 8 guys too
There were a few "squad + vehicle" releases,Orks + a Trukk, CSM + a Rhino...I thought it was a pretty good idea,guess GW didn't agree.
It was a "splash" release of a squad+transport that came out when Cities of Death did.

I remember Chaos had the Renegade Strike force which had a Defiler, Land Raider, Vindicator, 2 Rhinos, 20 Marines, Terminators, and Lord. I know most other races had similar deals, though I don't remeber what they were called, and now they are unavailiable. Should they bring them back?
They were largely abused by third party vendors who broke them up and sold em on feebay.

GW does tend to do this sort of thing, like the releases for Apocalypse,or the army deals that accompanied the release of Codex Armageddon, not that I disagree with limited releases altogether,I suppose it makes "Business" sense, but it would still be a nice thing to have "standing army deals".

Don't forget, they also did army deals to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Warhammer Fantasy.
I think the biggest barrier, at the moment, to "standing army deals" is the proliferation of Codices where there's things like 'Loganwing' etc. They'd have to make an army deal for each specific variation, rather than just a generic "battleforce" which has parts that almost anyone can get use out of no matter the variant army they run.

Should GW Bring Back "Bigger" Packs?
Sure. Some of the old packs would make great starter armies. Keep you busy for months, honestly. I'm all for it.
Here is their customer service email. I just sent them an email asking about the old megaforce sets and if they plan on making them again. Do the same!
