TP! You've lost karak kaarn!!
Whoever loses out of Leggy and Finch will be forced to retreat there and take it..

What would your ancestors say?

Yeah, that is a bit of an epic fail in our campaign rules;
surrender, get pushed to karak kaarn (capturing it) then just stroll through TP's land taking it all xD

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I'm starting to think perhaps we should have had it so when you lose a battle you lose the army - it would have meant you needed to work out some complex strategy where supporting armies would be very important, if the price for a failed assault or defence was losing the army involved!

Think of it as a redirected charge.

We'd lose too many armies too quickly. I doubt i'd have anything leftif that was in force.

Surely it's better that we know this can happen so you leave an army or two in reserve to fight forces back, OR move your armies supporting each other so opposing forces cant retreat into your land

True, it just seems weird that you can move to attack a territory, get absolutely battered in a humiliating defeat, but pop out on the other side past the territory you invaded, back at full strength and potentially in a much better position that you started in!

There's nothing to stop people purposely attacking a territory and losing, so as to bounce through into deeper (potentially undefended) enemy territory, thus doubling their move distance for that turn

I have evactuated Karak Kaarn. The way I see it I will loose one terrortry but stand to gain more. Then I will build my new armies and regain KK.

I was thinking for the next campaign we could say that if you loose by a certain margin the your army/fleet is in disarray next turn and may only hold.

People can only retreat into terrorterries that are left open, it makes people think more about the balance between attack and defence.

They could only do this if another player was involved. Typically, if they lose, they fail the move and stay in the territory they started in. any of their own troops that wanted to move into the territoty they started in ALSO fail the move and stay where they started. It's only if an ENEMY move into the territory the attacker started in that they must retreat to another adjacent territory.

Basically, if you don't want them to leapfrog ya, leave them somewhere to run to.

I'd like to protest the accusation that you kicked my arse. However, i can't, it's pretty accurate. I think i'm just going to have to live with the fact that Wood Elves suck big hairy donkey balls
