Just my two cents
The Tervigon's psychic power, Dominion can increase it's Synapse range to 18" but that has nothing to do with SitW. Just because you increase your Synapse range doesn't mean SitW is increased too. They're two separate abilities.
Same for the Swarmlord. It's Synapse is 18" but it's SitW remains 12".

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

have you read the New GK codex? Tyranids scare the crap out of me. GK are basically expensive marines when it comes to killing them. Okay you need to deep strike a little further away IF he is running strike squads and IF he got the power off in the previous turn( ld 9 still fails ). SOTW prevents most of my powers which are short range and CC from going off reliably (average a fail with 10.5 on 2d6) I think the math has you doubling my chance of a perils just guessing. With my main anti horde being psychic powers you can see why this would be scary. A trygon prime will ruin my day. Also I don't see where people have a problem with the nid codex, I always win with my warrior army(yea that's right). You just have to be willing to look outside what the internet tells you is good and bad.
But yes in this situation the GK player got lucky is all there is too it. Also how did you manage to get all his termies into BTB with your one prime? I find that to be the most impressive part to be honest.
Yes, I read it. And it sickens me as nothing should. Especially when they seem to have de-powered all the other human armies (especially CSM)

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it. |

I use to game with a lawyer regularly, until I figured out why he was unbeatable was because he cheated all the time with very well reasoned explanations as to why the rule in question worked the way he wanted it to. After, I refused to play he in tournaments, and in most friendly games. The only time I ever beat him was with my 3rd ed Grey Knights vs his 5th ed Chaos Marines; he just made more mistakes than I did, and I was on my game with any rulings that came up.
Not to say he needed to cheat to win, as in most cases it was draw that he turned into a win via a well thought out bypass of a rule, presented as truth.

Ork Admiral Kroozin Da Kosmos on Da Hulk

This thread just made its WBB roll...

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |
