Also, confirmation on Scourges, Venom and Talos... but not Razorwing? Is this now not in the box? it would seem highly unlikely given the inside back cover of the last WD to miss out now. If this is in (as with the Talos/Cronos) will it be a dual purpose Razorwing/Voidraven kit?

Looking forward to the release in any event but will be disappointed if we still don't have models for all heavy support choices after this...

There are supposed to be two releases in June, maybe the Razorwing and Voidraven will be with the second release?

I wonder if the Metal-Resin issue is going to affect some of the releases like the Wracks, Grotesques and new Haemonculi models.

Razorwing is confirmed for June: Should be at least one flyer release in the June of "murderous skies".
No information about non-plastic releases before Monday next week when a general statement will come in a newsletter.

I would think either the Fighter or Bomber is in this release, just not in the blackbox. Murderous Skies is the title of the preview for this month's WD after all...

If not, we should at least see what it/they look like by the end of the month. :-)

Those I can wait for though. The confirmation on the Venom is all I needed right now.

Hellions too, now?

Okay, how many people seriously thought the Dark Eldar were/should have been an all-female army, and why the hell do you think that?

Unless I've somehow misunderstood and you're not complaining about male wyches/hellions, in which case I apologize, but still...this attitude irritates me to no end.

Why do people frantically collect the female torsi?
Why do some people play Sororitas?
Why do most people play Slaanesh armies?
Why did people complain when they changed the boobanettes to proper Demonettes?
Why do most people play Woold Elves or Witch Cult armies?

I think you misunderstand. I'm not saying I don't like female models, I love them in fact (when done well) and I wish they would include more female torsos/heads in kits for the other races. What I disagree with is the idea that any unit in the Dark Eldar army should be composed entirely of women. It doesn't make much sense either, without male wyches how do you get more female wyches?

Honestly with wyches in particular I think it's mostly a case of close-mindedness based solely on the name: "wyches" = witches = girls.

And I like the Sororitas. :(

I think it is more or less the idea of making a all female army. With some trading, you can do that with Dark Eldar. Warhammer 40K is such a slong fest, that whenever the possibility of a female army comes around, there are lots of people who jump all over the opportunity. Call it compensation if you will.

It says in the dex that the DE are mostly 'tube born'. There's only the mention that True Born that are birthed by... ahem... better known and, my preferred, method of gestation. I guess that this would include the HQ choices as well though I don't believe it states this. Who cares though, the GW world(s) are all about using your own imagination to expand on a base template. Who's to say that there isn't such a think as The Kabal of the Mostly Lezzas? I might just start a side project and call it that - yep - that's now a trademark!

They aren't entirely tube born though. They're conceived naturally and then removed and placed in a birthing chamber so the hosts can continue to do their thing while the embryo becomes a fully fledged eldar. I presume the trueborn are those Eldar taken full term inside their hosts.

Remember that it isn't the entire Cabal on the raid either, just the ones the archon/succubus/haemonculus felt like taking.

Every unit in the codex has male and female (or neuter) equivilents in Commoragh. There are female warriors, hellions, reavers, beastmasters etc etc

There are male wyches (though they are generally low-ranked and kept as breedstock)

It's not beyond belief that a militant feminist archon (there are girl ones you know ) would get together with her favourite succubus and take an all female dark eldar force raiding. I know women who believe in the natural superiority of women over men. I have no issue with them believing this. It's reasonable that (given the artificial gestation tech they have) a female archon (or a male one that wants all his followers female ) might put together an all female force.

Out of all the armies out there in 40K i have the least problem visualizing an all-female Dark Eldar force.

Some folk seem to get all hot under the collar at the idea of women warriors that aren't cranky nuns. I wonder why?

My force, btw, is about evenly split, genderwise, but then i only have four models until the Haemonculus stuff finally drops

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

You asked for the reason why people complain/try to go all female.

In short, all the nice explanation aside: It's about boobs.

Well that was an interesting tangent.

Question: the Black Box only goes to GW stores, right? Other stockists have to wait until the pre-order boxes go out?

No, indies can order them as well. It depends. I know the store I use to go to in Brandon would have to pay a certain fee, like $25 for the Black Box in order to get it. So it all depends on the area I guess.

Dark Eldar-y?
You have to live with that. It comes with the package. Just like the odd-numbered moobs come with the Emperor's Children army.

I do.

The hellions are ugly. The very idea of men with tank-tops and bare feet repulses me. They should all be female.

The wych cults are led by Succubii, which are FEMALE. All wyches should be female. If not that, then at least 8/10 should be, with the other two being.... confused.

Women are more sensual and passionate, making it all the more sexy and simultaneously disturbing when they're ripping soldiers up and using the essence of the kill to invigorate themselves (for a more cliche explanation: Orgasms, anyone?).

I would pay a lot of money for a full female DE army.

I think they may have changed it. I know the store I go to, the owner doesn't get a black box. He still has to pay for the models, he just gets them about a week after the official stores get the Blackboxes.

As much as I'm not bothered by the cocnept of male wyches and hellions... they really did make a mistake on the sprue by not also including male legs to go with the male torsos.

So, however you model the kit, you have to build male wyches wearing stockings, suspenders and thigh highs. Plus those miniskirt things.

Would have been much better to have specific male and female legs on the sprue, that way the hips on the female ones could have been a little larger and the male ones could have not looked liked trannies in BDSM lingerie.

i really want some voidravens...supersonic AND aerial assault special rules! and i need them for my army.
I dont think there will be grotesques. the codex says that they are meat hulks and they count as 2 models for the purpose of transport capacity. but they sure would be cool!

I'm not sure wether that is a sword... it's more like a letteropener, really.
