did i truly miss that i wanted to suggest red goggles?

and for modeling reasons i can absolutly understand you... even tho i detest them the black clad SS officers are the sharpest dressed Soldiers throughout history...the black long coat like the one christoph waltz wears in inglorius basterds...is just oozing coolness...well i guess you have to compensate when you are a bag of sh...t^^

as for your minis, i like the camo you did...camo on that scale is +1 as thats so tiny and you did that very well...instant recognition! also i like the grey uniform as well...so i say, keep the different germans-through-the-units uniforms and give them red goggles...

my thoughts...^^

i often did play around to get me some warlord games minis...is there scale fitting to GW? i think they will be a very good addition to your force. will you stay realistic in your design or will you add some sifi systems as well? like some late war new tech... as seen in some comics or games...like jetpacked jumptroops or such things...

Historicals 90% of the time tend to be thinner and less bulky to gw

These figures are not entirely true scale, but still not as bulky as cadians, though my other figures aren't as well, so that doesn't really matter..,

I will probably add some sci-fi, but not too much.

I was also thinking of using hitlerjugend or volks-sturm inspired figures as conscripts.., or would anybody be violated by that? Still don't know how to model them though.

i like the volksturm idea... that way you can add lots of civilian minis and even women...there are a bunch of nice german miniproducers around...mom i will have a look if i find them...

found them...
http://www.lead-adventure.com/

they have a nice bunch of civilians with guns that look late war style...tho some are of course a bit too russian like...

yep those partisans could work pretty well... the onloy thing i would add to them to help the volkssturm look would be more long grandfather beards...
on the hitlerjugend thing... i would stay away from that... bringing children in could cause trouble...but don´t take my word for it...although there aren´t so many companies that make children minis with guns... only hasslefree comes to my mind...

Sorry that there haven't been an update for ages lads, but I got my first job and I'm working fulltime so I haven't got much time left for modeling,

Some great new stuff. My only concern is that the gun seems to big for the truck to manage.

I'm sorry that I didn't update my blog for such a long time, but know I'm trying to pick it up again.

I decided to start on a new design for my chimera, because it took a lot of bits from different kits. that it would cost a lot to buy all the kits that i got the bits from, and I don't even remember half of them.
Anyway I based my new design on the games workshop chimera, but I converted it a bit. I also did a bit of more work on the basilisk and especially on its crew. And I did a conversion on a regular footsoldier, I made the gun look a bit like a mg42. I will take better pics though.

Adding the legs of the gun carriage of the pak40 to the back of the truck as deployable stabilizers might help make it look more plausible. As it is right now, firing the cannon would likely tip the truck over backwards pivoting on the rear axle (which the gun mount sits right over).

Yes I did want to do something like that, though I already used them for the gun mounting. But I'll probably make something like the WWII katusha's had out of scratch.
