and there is detail for the sake of bling bling ( GW )

anyone agree? disagree?

Agree. Its like GW feels that adding a bunch of seals and skulls makes the model better, all it does is make it busy. The Confrontation metals are a great example of detail, ditto with Infinity.

Whats my game?

I like clean and simple as a base so I can tack on my own clutter in a manner that makes sense to me. (Like say, all veterans have grenades but regular troops don't, so at a glance they're that much easier to tell apart.)

There's never enough space to actually put my chapter symbol on it without filing, which I really don't like to do on otherwise nice shoulderpads.

Same with the dreadnoughts and all. I had considered making a Charcharodon force using the BA codex. Of course I would want some Furioso's in it. Imagine my disappointment that every bit of the bleeding thing is covered in BA iconography - whereas with the DA stuff the iconography for vehicles came on a seperate sprue.

Blood angels and blood ravens: the new ultragayrines.

makes me wonder if we may be up for a dreadnought re-release??

To glimpse the future, you must look to the past and understand it. Names may change, but human behavior repeats itself. Prophetic insight is nothing more than profound hindsight.

It doesn't matter how bloody far the apple falls from the tree. If the apple fell off of a Granny Smith, that apple is going to grow into a Granny bloody Smith. The only difference is whether that apple grows in the shade of the tree it fell from.
