Nope, because as Brass Knuckles lack special rules, they would simply be a CCW(actually, they would be a non-entity) and therefore would not count towards that rule.

Khorne, as usual, refused comment. Sicarus dodged cleaning duty and passed it onto Uriel, Alpha Legion suspected for this switch.

DR - again, in your opinion. And that overly restrictive, en tirely non-rules based opinion has been given as one option already in this thread.

Special attacks as in Servo-Arm, Nest of vipers, or Talassarian Tempest Blade ...

Talassarian Tempest Blade: This is a power weapon. If Sicarius wishes, he can attempt a single 'coup de grace' attack in lieu of his normal close combat attacks. If the coup de grace hits, it is resolved at str6 and causes instant death, regardless of the wounded models toughness.

... which is a good example since his normal attacks with a power weapon are replaced with a single special attack (without the words 'If he wishes' he would be forced to always make this attack)

No. Power weapon attacks are also special attacks. Sicarius can use either his special attack with a power weapon or his special coupe de grace attack. He cannot make a non-power-weapon attack at all.

No, Attacks with a power weapon are normal attacks with a Special Weapon.

Stuff like the "Talassarian Tempest Blade" and "Whirlwind of gore (Grom Gabriel Seth)" have a rule where they can use a special attack, which replace the normal attack sequence.

Sorry, it wasn't entirely clear. The point is you cannot forgo your power weapon attack, ie switch it off.

There is a difference in the rules between special attacks and special weapons. Special weapons have a variety of rules aswsociated with them, particularly limits on using two different special weapons.

Special attacks are a much much rarer beast in 40k, and there is ,aimly the one rule on pg 35 about them. A model has to take their special attack, they cannot pass on it even tho they might wish to not use it because of the tactical situation.

The rule on pg 25 however does NOT address special weapons, thats the part that seems to confure some people.

Why does my eldar army run three fire prisms? Because the rules wont let me use four in (regular 40k).

There is no rule ever defining a special attack. This makes any attack not following all normal rules for attacks or attacks with an additional effect special. Note that attacks similar to servo arms or Yarrik's eye are never called "special attack" in any codex, neither are any special rules that allow a character to use a special technique to attack.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

But there is nothing saying they are "normal" cc attacks either. Seeing as they deviate from "standard" cc attacks, ie normal initiative, normal strength, allow power/inv saves, etc. I believe it would be right to assume these are so-called "special attacks".
