If we are, it is because we let ourselves. Since obama couldn't keep his promise of making things better, vote someone else who can improve things, if he fails, repeat process.
It is our fault, yes. Though not necessarily because we don't vote people out of office. More likely because we vote people into office according to a desire to personally benefit from doing so.

That's not all, most of everything we depend on, from auto parts to clothing, we make very little, and in so, very few jobs are available.
You should revisit US industrial production statistics.
We don't make much in terms of textiles, because why would we, its unskilled labor, but we actually manufacture a ton of goods.

Sadly, as china becomes more and more of an economic powerhouse, we gain more debt, even though we're only valuble through our debt.
You want to rectify it?
I'll pay you 1 dollar a week to make whatever I ask you to make, then you'll have a competitive advantage (maybe)!

Only a dollar? Make it three dollars a month and you're on!
No, wait...

All I'm saying is it might help if we vote in the right person and open more jobs, we could improve the economy slightly.

For whom?
I'm sure some stock portfolios would improve, slightly, if we had a base of textile industries, but not many people are going to be contributing to the economy on cents per day.

Dreaming isn't as good as self education or knowledgeable activism. It's mostly just wasted time.

I can just see Obama getting his second term...which will be good. People need to realize and look up and see that he saved the states from economic disaster. If Mc'Cain got in, you guys would be screwd...If Obama did not pass the bills he did, you guys (Americans) would be in heaps more toruble then you are already in...much..much more
The right doesent have any one fit to run for president, thats just browny points for Obama...you have Sarah Palin just giving the right a bad name, Donald Trump who talked alot of crap in making people think he was going to run...the tea party is full of it, they think they are a politcal movement...but they are a group that gets together to discuss politics while really doing nothing about it
the right also has Fox News which makes them look like COMPLETE idiots.......like Glen Beck....smart one they got there.
The right thinks there making head way for the election...there really not, there just digging them selves a hole for 2012

McCain would have passed a stimulus bill had he been president. It's necessity was a given, and it's only been through the luxury of being out of office that the Republicans can pretend they could have maintained economic activity without increasing spending.
Mind you, if McCain had won we wouldn't have seen the Republicans try to rebuild their brand with the Tea Party, so maybe none of the silliness of the past couple of years would have happened at all, and we'd still be in business as usual.

Perry is about the most likely to beat Obama, and there's a very plausible chance of him doing so, but he has to secure the nomination first, and is presently a long way behind Romney and Bachman. I doubt either Romney or Bachmann can win.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”
