I played most armies before deciding the orks looked the most fun... but nobody had a real ork army just the orks from AoBR where i play, so after reading the codex i picked it up, proxied a army with old zoggy, snickrot w/ komandoes, boss zag w/ stormboyz and a wierdboy w/ warphead. i even used ardboys.. terrible list tactically but i had a blast. and eeked out a tie (capture and control)

I like that orks can have alot of fun while staying competative. you can also do a complete luck of the dice list. and our fluffy units that are to expensive to use competitivly become good fun units for your army in friendly and training games.

as for my other army generic vanilla marines I wanted a good paint job they look pretty cool a gold toned black armor with crimson lining and silver emblems. I only have about 1500-1750 points worth os sm at this point but have a few fun lists. I think vanilla marines have a very balanced codex and I made simple lists to teach people with that are pretty stong with easy to use tactics

I fell in love with fielding crazy amounts of guardsmen in my Infantry regiment because most of the power gamers at my store would cry when their anti-meq list failed utterly as wave after wave of guardsmen flooded over them.

Opponent: "Ha! I just killed an entire squad!"
Me: "Oh no, whatever will I do? Oh yeah, I will swarm you with the other two hundred in my list."

I picked up Space Wolves about three months ago. I liked their theme and models. Plus I set out to make a funny Space Wolf list no one expects... one that assaults. *Gasp* I know, crazy huh? I use Swiftclaws, Bloodclaws, Skyclaws, and even Wolfguard on bikes. Pretty awesome when my opponent expects it to turn into a shooting war and he is getting run down by Orks in power armor.

Opponent: "Wait, you only have one long fang unit, where are the other two?"
Me: "Long fangs? Who needs them? I have bikes!" *Evil Grin*

added note. I'd loke to play that list. I'm tired of playing longfangs and librarian with jotww i wish the wolves players would mix it up more where i play. well one does some mixing but still brings pretty strong lists to a very casual crowd

no blue marines are usually ultramarines which are in the regular marines codex, then you have a few other chaperts lists in there like crimson fists, mine have a different paint job unique to them (never seen it anywhere else anyway)

I use the basic space marines units and just made my own chaper based on one choice in the codex a unit called "legion of the damned" my army i just say space marines but they are "the hidden legion" thier back story is they are held in the warp and only sent where the emiror needs them across space and time. they defend the imperium in this way.

Ohh, that set is cool, especially since it came with terrain. My cousin has the same exact set but he lost the minis.

I started back in 3rd with Necrons (Robot zombies ftw)

Then before 4th hit, I changed over to Kroot Mercs because I liked the idea of it (hell, all of the kroot I still use in my Tau are from my Kroot Mercs army)

I learned how to play against Tau(in 3rd) and before 5th hit, my best friend was looking into changing into Marines (which turned to BA which turned to 5th ed. Nidzilla, which turned to Grey Knights), and was looking to sell his 2K of Tau, which I bought.

Now I play Tau.
