My Death Company Dread

When i first used him he killed a whole 20 man squad of Orks with his Blood Talons in one turn.

Now everytime i put him on the board wether walking or in a raven he gets shot to death...

I say it has to be my Devastators(vanilla). No doubt it was the way I armed them(LC,PC,HB and a rotation of ML and MM),but I find the points are better spent on an Ironclad.

It os for orks and such, 4+ save instead of 6+ for less than half of what better armor would cost

I would have to say my Ork tankbustas. I love those guys, honestly who wouldn’t it is a whole unit with rocket launchers. But alas that really suck. They can’t hit the broad side of a barn in shooting, and get shot to hell most of the time or slaughtered in combat. I usually run a unit of 15 to give them a chance to live. I have used smaller units in transports, but it really isn’t worth using up a heavy support choice for them. In case any non-ork players didn’t know they have no transport option so you can only put them in a battle wagon or looted wagon. If the tank hammers live long enough to make it to a vehicle they do alright, but rarely make up their points. The first time I used them they were golden and killed 9 out of a ten man squad of striking scorpions, since then they have died horribly every game. In the last one the full unit was assaulted by a death company dread w/blood talons, enough said. However I like them so much I will always have them in my Ork army. Someday I hope they will prove themselves.

You can put tankbustas in a trukk. Makes em pretty usefull for assualting tanks (2 tankhammers, 1 pk and tankbusta nades).

Lightly armour transports are usually never hit, anything which I might have more difficulty trying to glance/penetrate never manages to damage. My Fire Warriors just don't like shooting, they prefer CC.

It's a sad state of affairs when your Fire Warriors and Broadsides have killed more models or claimed more points in close combat over the past few years than they have with shooting.

Hold tight, when the new codex comes out, I'm sure they'll be welcomed into the Farsight Enclaves with open arms.

Whaaa...?

FnP is great. My assault squads get a 3+ then 4+. That's close to doubling their survivability.

IG Lascannon teams. Seems my dice decide they are abolutely unable to hit anything. In fact extend that to almost any lascannon in my army. Only seems to be them that miss consistently!

Wolf Guard Terminators.

Useless. Die everytime, often without causing any damage. They've certainly never got their points back. I had one die this week from a Grot!

And for my Orks its the Deff Dread. I've never got it into close combat yet.
