Yes, in inches. The beta was using x6" for all stats. Not something I found works universally but was reminded this is early beta. Melee combat at 6" is rather silly to me even in the abstract. Really have my fingers crossed that they don't botch this up trying to make an easy crossover between Tactics and Warfare. As I see it and from having played Dust for a bit, there isn't a simple multiplier and all works out fine.
As for Dust Tactics, been playing several months now and enjoy it as a board game with these cool models. If you have someone to split the core set and revised core set, you are looking at alot of models for under $100 each.
Gears of War, played a demo and had fun so picked it up. Have played it several times now with the mission cards and building own maps and AI deck. I highly recommend this game as it is fun and scales up with more players. Certainly requires more coordination on movement and actions to survive the mission. I hope they eventually come out with expansions to add in other Locust, order cards and enemy AI.
