sorry I got to this late. When I mix paint, I usually just use a ratio. So I ghetto rigged it, I used a fairly large brush and would get my primary color 2 to 1. Proceed to stir and if the color looks to bright in contrast or to dark just add the lighter shade. The paint drys fairly quick. I didn't do much shading with my SM but usually way more color blending with the Nids. Honestly for good advice on how to mix colors for highlight or shades. Id recommend videos on youtube. Many amazing articles on dakka for all that stuff as well.

wow, I didn't even see the chariot and the jugg, looking awesome! Good shading and the army looks awesome all painted. For basing your models id recommend some rubble and snow. Personal opinion, just think it would be a cool aspect.

It is said that when Khorne First Created the Daemon U'zuhl, the Bloodletter's first act was to chop the head of the first creature he met- another Bloodletter. So began an Existance of decapitation that has spread terror throughout the mortal and immortal universes. When U'zuhl took his eight hundred and eighty-eighth skull, Khorne anointed him as his Sacred Executioner and U'Zuhl earned the title of Skulltaker- Codex: Chaos Daemons, Pg. 50

So I finished Skully's Chariot.

It's now nap time. >.>

C&C away.

This isn't an update for painting, but it is a hobby update. I had my first non Vassal games in almost a year today at the FLGS

I went 2-1 for the whole day with my Tau.

First game was 2k against Thousand Sons, Pitched battle 3 objectives. He put all of his guys on the right, I put all of mine on the left. I popped his Rhinos in the first turn and he had to footslog, which allowed me to take the left objective and the center objective. towards the end, he started to move on the middle objective and took out my Warfish and 5 fire Warriors. One lone Fire Warrior weathered 2 turns of shooting from 2-3 squads of thousand sons, psychic powers, and Plasma/Lascannon fire from the Oblits. I won 2-1

Second Game was 750 against Marines, Spearhead two objectives. I was too aggressive in this game and ignored objectives. He had Sicarus and a squad of tac marines outflank on my objective and by the time he finally passed his reserve roll, It was too late for me to take it back. 0-1

third game was a 2k tag team. My Tau and a dark Eldar player vs the Thousand Sons player from earlier and another Chaos Player. Three objectives, pitched battle He brought a bunch of lances, I brought a bunch of Plasma and Hammerheads. the Chaos players hid in the corner for the first turn while we took over the board with our tanks. I had some kroot parked on a objective that wold be ignored the whole game. It was a close and bloody battle, but the long forgotten Kroot objective turned the tie into a win. 2-1

It was a fun day, everyone enjoyed themselves and since I am off next saturday, I will try and see what I can do about getting out there and back.

Tomorrow, I will be working on the Daemon Prince I bought today and my Heralds. I'll have some pictures ready before I leave for work.

So this is what I've been up to:

I've painted the third Juggernaut of Khorne to pull Deathreaver's Chariot (the bog standard Khorne Herald)

I've painted Deathreaver

I've painted the Icon of Chaos that will be on the Chariot

All I got left is the Chariot and then I need to buy some white Primer so I can prime up the Slaaneshi Heralds.
