To late, rumors that they had earned some cash from "Ultramarines" and that they are making second movie. According to rumors - "Space Wolves"!!!
Hell yeah.
For people who think the first movie was horrible, this movie will probably be much much better in your eyes.
Quality, it will improve with more movies made.

Not sure if sarcasm. >_>
Half way correct,
SOME people will never be satisfied. they will expect Avatar or LotR level graphics regardless of who makes it or what the budget is.
I think most people will have a more rational expectation.

People HAD a rational expectation. The issue is that the movie failed to meet even those relatively low standards.
Whenever I hear people try and defend this film they always throw the 'What, you were expecting Avatar CGI?' arguement when no, of course I wasn't. No-one was. What I *was* expecting was a half decent attempt at recreating the 40k universe, with a solid storyline penned by a very, VERY successful and well-respected author. I received neither of these things and was instead subjected to the 'Wonderful Walking Space Marines on their search for the Mystical Macguffin'.
If GW have no faith that their IP will accrue additional revenue, and refuse to fund projects because of that, why should I be happy with completely sub-par products? The worst part is that this was SUCH an opportunity for GW to expand their audience and they squandered that chance completely. This is one project that Abnett should definitely omit from his CV.
I thought the detail level would be like DOW 2 intro ........ but it was so worse, the fightin sucked, the whole movie felt like we walk , we talk , we fight , we walk , we walk , we fight , we walk , we talk.......

that intro movie cost Relic several million dollars.
Fancy cinematic openings are usually contracted out to companies that do only Game intros. they use top of the line CGI generators and rendering systems, the associated price tag is astronomical.
the intro was probably the single most expensive portion of the game to produce.
basically, you will only get that level of animation in game openings and movies that have hundreds of millions of dollars in their budget. we are along way from getting anything that level in a full length 40k movie.

Lets face it, DnD is NOT good material for a movie. DnD is, first and foremost, a role playing game. there is no main underlying plot for the whole setting(s) as you basically make it up as you go along. its good for a game, not so great for a movie.

True for the CGI , still think the movie lacked something ..... rhythm maybe .... or humans .... It felt like it was only SM world or even their ship it was humanless....

If they had actually read the monster manuals the way they claimed they had in the making of interviews it would have helped though.
Black dragon = Acid, not fire.. Just one of several oddities..
I liked the first one for just two things..
1/. DR Who the Elf Druid (Baker does smug old elf well.. )
2/. The comment about the halfling beating the theives from the knees down.
They were both vastly more watchable than the atrocity that Codex made though

I can deal with bad CGI, i can deal with bad voice overs (thought they were good), and i can even deal with the sub par action sequences.
What i absolutely cannot deal with is: the lack of atention to detail, the minor plot holes, the major plot holes, the things that are just plain rubbish, a story line.
lets be honest this is not a blockbuster, it does not have massive funds so i wasn't expecting fab graphics, this is a film made for the fans of 40K, so the one thing they had to get absolutly right was: the story and the fluff. niether of these things were done to any sort of reasonable standard.
(how can pythos have combat nerves not only is he a space marine he is also a tactical marine, which means he has been a devestator and an assualt marine for at least a century before hand it is utter nonsence)
Son you can insult me, you can ambush me, you can even take away my weapons. But if you think im going to step one single pinky toe inside blue base with out my SHOTGUN... you must not know who you dealing with.
I said move...
and i said SHOTGUN...
yes I have your shotgun
no.. i mean SHOT...-GUN
what is this... you think im going to give you your shotgun back because you asked???
i said SHOTGUN.... SHOTGUN DAMMIT!!!
oh yeah shotgun... thats my que.

True, movie Graphics were not so bad to me...but still they made DoW intro much better than Ultramarines movie, DoW II to...
And I was dissapointed at one thing: NO BIG BATTLES!!! Warhammer is all about big battles, and I wanted to see one Armageddon or Macragge one, but no....

Watch from 4:21, this part of video is just over 1 minute long and it is better and more epic then entire "Ultramrines" movie.

Respectfully disagree...if they adapted CORRECTLY (unlike the gakky animated movie) Dragons of Autumn twilight...it would be awesome!
The movie was good for GWs first attempt at a WH40k film(in my opinion anyway) although during the whole movie it just got me wondering why a "Captain" of the Ultramarines in command of a whole ship only had 1 squad of space marines at his command, i mean if you're captain you'd technically should have like around a hundred space marines at your back right?

What a lot of people who saw it have either realized or ignored is that the company that made the movie, Codex Pictures, just didn't have a budget or wasn't actually able to animate 40k to a scale necessary.
Regardless, I'm quite disappointed in the story. Dan Abnett wrote it too, and I'd think that perhaps some outside force had a hand in editing. The two major fight scenes sucked, the only interesting part of the movie was near the end.

This has been very common knowledge for a very long time so I doubt that this consideration hasn't been taken into account. It makes it all the more disappointing that GW are so reluctant to back the projects they license their IP for. Considering its such a vital part of their organisation, you'd have thought basic corporate pride would ensure that they support third-party developers more thoroughly than just their IP team saying 'No.'

Indeed, although GW doesn't have loads of capital to blow on something like a movie(they actually have most of their assets in stock and material, not in cash)
GW puts out nearly as much as it takes in in profits, they arn't rolling in excess dough.

I would happily forgive dodgy graphics ifn the plotline was good and the characterization solid.

It's one thing to actively back a licensee, it's another thing entirely to turn around, post-purchase, and then say 'Buyer beware'. GW did the latter.

The rest of the UM Chapter was back on planet Whatsitsname fighting Tyranid. The only people they could spare to answer the IF distress call was the Captain, one Apothecary and a bunch of Scouts. The Scouts were elevated to the rank of Marine and given their Black Carapaces en route to the planet the film takes place on.
It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.
