On the first night of Christmas, my best friend gave to me:

And a spiral bound codex in a pear tree.
Oh yeah, this army is so friggin built. *sigh* Have to finish my orks for Scarab before I can continue on these bad boys. Oh well, back to work.

Christmas may not be over yet for you good sir! I just looked over the name of the thread and realized I might just have a fancy piece of terrain/display board for your shiny new sadomasochistic space elves!

Oh snap. Can't wait to see. I am totally jazzed to have the army, orks first, then Dark Eldar. Ready to work on the Archon though, just to get him painted and imposing on the shelf.

Okay, so while I am taking some down time from my orks and just kind of relaxing and marveling at all the dark eldar I have to paint, I wanted to ask a question. The guy who gave me the Dark Eldar said that I should paint the reaver jetbikes up in the tron paintscheme. I am a huge fan of the Tron movies (especially Legacy) and was wondering if you, the good people on Dakka, thought that would ruin the coherency of the army. I think it would but I wanted feedback from others as well. Just a question.

So, over on this front, I have been painting a bit here and there. I have been sick as well as my daughter, so it's been hard to get motivated to do anything other than lay there and cough. I have finished 2 more kabalites, I finished preparing the base and assembling number 6, and I have been toying with ideas for the trueborn. Not ready to get to them yet. Here are some pics.
Happy with the paint scheme and all so far. The pictures don't quite do the paint job justice, but you at least get the gist. My camera isn't great, but it does the job.

Here is the squad as I have it so far, with the newest base tile added in to show how the mosaic is coming together under them.

Been working on my dark eldar as of late, after a long break. pictures to come soon. Not sure on the new bases, but you guys can tell me what you think.

Well, here we go with some newly posted Dark Eldar images. I decided to change the bases because the others were just too hard. I am gonna try doing free hand on the sails of the raiders and stuff. Anyway, here you go.






I wasn't sure if I liked the bases how they are now. But looking at the one that is blue/indigo, I really think I can make a few small improvements, and be truly happy.

My thought is Ladys Malys and her brides in the venom, Archon with Incubi in the raider. Warriors for ranged harassment, wyches and bloodbride with malys for melee and vehicles busting, reavers for fast moving tank busting and troop harassment, scourges because I love them, and haywire blasters will take care of a lot of ranges vehicles, and Ravagers for doing what Ravagers do.
