I have updated the package for version 8.00. The information on the first entry has also been modified to reflect those changes.
I have left the original package for those who still play earlier editions.

A local dude is making full cards for every unit in the game. All the stats on front, rules on back. An immense amount of work goes into them.

Oh god, this is beautiful.
Where can I acquire these cards?

As for the MSE files.

given 8th edition, it might be a good idea to increase the "special rules" box size, on the cost of wargear box and/or picture. 8th datasheets tend to have more unit-spesific rules that require wording.
Also, a slot for keywords, as many are meaningful and have in-game interactions with rules of other units.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

I do it much simpler. I buy the digital codex. Get a program that can snip parts of the PDF out, use it to snip the whole datacard for 1 unit.. Put the snipped parts in a word document. Resize to page. Print. Laminate. Done. As long as I only do it for myself, with digital codexes that I bought, I think I am in the clear in terms of fair use. I bought a laminator for less than 30 euro, and it costs about 10 cents a page to laminate them. I can do a whole codex worth of datasheets in less than 2 hours. Of course it doesn't look as beautiful as this, but I think it's pretty practical.

The dude is in Texas, right now he is still going through and making all the cards for FW and every codex that comes out. Some have had typos, but they get fixed. I think once he has everything done and good he will put them on ebay or on swap sites like dakka.

Not anymore. I've updated the files to include these two battlefield roles.

Remember that even if you update the version, your original files are still valid.

I haven't read the 3 pages, but...what is the interest of this ? Why making cards if you already have the codices ?

I don't play that often and I don't know my stats by heart. I have only the information that I need and I can customize the cards to the unit that I have.
It's like having your BatlleScribe read out in card format. Looks better and I can leave the cards next to my unit.
It's similar to the tactical cards but for your units.
I know full well that it's not for every one.

I used to do this back in 2nd and 3rd ed. I Printed your cards out last year, but have yet to use them.

They used to be super handy when I used to use them.

I still really like this idea, though I've yet to see a card layout I thought was particularly good. Right now my entire codices are done on two double-sided laminated sheets, so I don't know that I'll ever get around to doing proper cards.

I do think the back fo the cards could have the weapon stats and special rules, since they won't fit particularly well on a basic single poker face.

For the back of your cards, you simply need to use the Wargear cards and fill them with the information that you want. The back of the card isn't actually defined in the printout section. So you can use whatever back you want.

It's easier to look up rules when they're on cards next to the models, rather than having to flip through a book for a few seconds.
Also in this edition of lots of models with 10+ wounds, using erasable marker on a laminated card is a good alternative to counting wounds with dice.
