Yup they are from a £1 shop, poundland, they come with an oversize turret and an attached wire controller to make it go back and forth. The turret would be were the top hatch on the chimera is now, so i made my own better sized ones at the front. The tanks are a little to long so I cut a bit off the back to make them match GW models.
The tanks are done with GW metalic beaten copper I think it was.
I still have a few spare, so I may try a few heavy support varieties, maybe a griffon type next.

Not as yet although the turret on that pic looks like the one on the tank originally!
My partner has made something like that for her Genestealer cult army, proxing for Leman Russ.
I might do that at some point, but I still focusing on infantry, with some support.

Ok so its been a while, domestic issues and such getting in the way. I recently played in a local tournement amongst our little group and narrowly got dumped out be a daemon army. This has spurned me on to carry on making and painting! I am currently working on anothwer team of auto cannon, I only had 2 so I have scratchbuilt one, but the difference in look is minimal. I am currently trying out ideas for a griffon mortar, the gun will be interchangable as im trying out ideas.
I am also working on a Hydra, with scratchbuilt auto cannons, as well as a couple of napoleonic cavalry units for rough riders, will upload some wip pics in tbe next day or so!

Nice Napoleon themed guard. Mordians can look Napoleonic with appropriate hats.
Keep up the good work.

Sisters of Battle can be used in any game, with the exception of chess, Monopoly and of course, Warhammer 40,000.
After 8 editions, you might have thought that GW could get fantasy right. |

Thanks! Yeah I like the Mordians, but the perry and victrix are just much better value, especially for a foot heavy list! I really need to add a few more pics when I get the time.

So looking at what I have now im quite pleased with my Progress I can field around 2000k of guard thus far and am close to the point of buying/making stuff just because as opposed to needing. Im thinking one more box of victrix to finally replace the regualr gw minis I have, and maybe a box or 2 to make some veterans and conscripts. Id also like a primaris or 2 as the stand in I have fab. Then im mostly done.
The one charector im aiming for is Al rahem, I may try and make him from this:
http://www.artizandesigns.com/prod.php?prod=1004
Otherwise Im currently working on a griffon and 2 hydra's.
Once completed should give me a force of roughly:
Company cmd squad,melta,standard,vox,medic
Master of Ordinance
Fleet officer
x2 platoon cmd, flamers,standards
x5 squads plasma gun, grenade launcher and vox
x2 gw mini squads, grenade, plasma gun
1 commisar
x2 auto cannon hws
x2 las cannon hws
x2 heavy bolter hws
x2 mortar hws
x1 missle launcher hws
x3 chimera
x2 hydra
x1 griffon
x1 banewolf
x1 hell hound
x3 scout sentinal,lascannons and a flamer
I have one tank left to build with, unsure what to make I have the parts for a chimera,a hellhound, hydra or artillery, but am not sure yet!

To be honest I havent given it that much thought, I assume the original GW one would work like that, radar controlled fire direction would seem most likely, or its 40K universe equivelent! Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh and I almost forgot, My guys had their first solo victory last week, thanks in the main to some sterling shooting by mortar crews and my fast attack guys. It was pleasent to see the 2 squads of chaos termies get brought down mostly by sheer lasgun fire power!

I got to say that this is one very impressive project log, IG are one of my weak spots that so far I have managed to retain my sanity and not commit financial suicide over.
I particulary like the scratch built autocannon that really is very impressive by comparison to the GW version
