And comments like this make me want to punch people in their face.
Many people enjoy debating semantics. That's why this forum exists.
You don't have to participate in the discussions - you don't even have to visit this sub-forum.
You should respect other people.
What you posted is the opposite of that and is borderline trolling.
Come at me, bro
But seriously, I'm not trying to troll, just trying to point out that this is maybe just a little completely fething ridiculous and is not helping anyone figure out how to play warhammer, which I thought was the point of this subforum. I do not seem to be alone in this feeling, judging by some of the other posts in this thread.
Also, you should respect other people and not throw out empty threats over the internet. Bro.

The 40K rules set is mostly "just a little completely fething ridiculous"
Because they did not write a clear rule set, so we are left to debate and try to figure out the ridiculousness that is 40K
You pointing out that "this is maybe just a little completely fething ridiculous" is like pointing out that it rains. It is just something everyone already knows, and we try to make the best of what we are given.

If you loved roller coasters, but hated water rides, would you go to an amusement park, spend half the day riding water rides and then complain about hating water rides and considering never coming back to the amusement park? No, you'd go, ride the roller coasters all day and have a great time unless what you actually enjoyed was riding roller coasters and complaining about water rides.
Dakka is a great big place. Do as you like within the community guidelines. Have fun, but please let me have mine too.
Have your fun! I was simply stating that this kind of asinine rules nitpicking is... well asinine. If you cannot look at a rulebook that says the model is destroyed, and that unit is wiped out, and see that they both mean the EXACT same thing (that the model is unuseable and is removed from the table with VERY few exceptions) without needing an english major then this MIGHT (key word) be the wrong game for you
Maybe this would be a good thread to argue... er ask.... if my model being dead, or deceased, are the same thing for Reanimation protocols

I'm not sure I understand the question. Please give an example.
As far as each person having their own fun, don't worry about it. We're all adults here, or at least attempting to be marginally adult enough for the internet.

Yes, RP/EL only work if the Necron was RFPAAC.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
