I didn't really like slaughtering the guards at Whiterun. Now I'm going to have to shoot the new guards in the knees.... but where's the fun in that?

I liked Malcolm in Unreal 2k3/2k4, but after Unreal Championship 2 and Unreal 3, frankly I want to kill him. He's a douche.
We need a thread for video game characters we really wanted to kill...

Good call, I go along with that. Shephard of same game. The first 3/4ths of the game I pretty much worshiped the man and than he he is randomly a villian with motivation and characters actions that not only didnt make sense, but were completely against his previous (or current) motivations and actions. He was a victim of bad writting.

He was a villian the entire game, it wasn't bad writing. What happened was after the loss of 30,000 men in the first game he went insane. He wanted America to be the biggest super power in the world. So he hired Makarov to start a war between America and Russia to get him power of the entire U.S. military. When the 141 raided Makarovs safehouses to get intel, he knew they would find info. leading to him so he had to kill them to tie up loose ends.

You know, Im not sure if I actually want to reply to this. His character does a complete 180 in this game
In the early stages fo the game, he is an officer who values the men under him and works along side them sharing in their hardships. When presented with wounded soldiers he goes out of his way to make sure they get the best medical treatment they can get as quickly as possible even if it delays him. America, already is the world's strongest power. Consideres Makarov a threat to international security and tries to stop him. When Price is freed he completely disapproves Price's plan to nuke America even if it would be the only way to unite the world agaisnt Russia. So far he sounds extremely reasonable and likeable. He is portrayed to be EXTREMELY likeable in the first 3/4ths of the game
Than, he randomly murders Task Force 141, a group of hand picked me picked by him, many of them who would have been loyal to him for no reason. (Why? The data they never read and wouldnt be allowed to read? The game never did say what was on that data. Why would he kill Price before they completed their job? Why kill Ghost and Roach when they were still loyal to him?) They arnt loose ends if they dont know he is doing anything bad and they arnt going to find out what is wrong on the disk. Why did he have this HUGE ammount of American soldiers who supported his murder of these Task Force 141 guys? Did all these Americans support the idea of Russia going to war with the USA? How would he even accomplish this ability of creating his own personal army? Is it a legit army unit under his control?
His motivation? The death of 30,000 men, how does he plan to avenge them? By having uniting the entire world against America and having the nation getting invaded with millions of Americans dying in a bloody war against Russia.
Now I understand complaining about the plot in Modern Warfares is kind of slowed sense they are so multiplayer focused but I actually got pretty invested in the story of the Call of Duties and I was enjoying them. When me and a few of my friends beat the game afterwards we just sat there and tried to answer how the hell this made any sense and we couldnt figure it out. Everything we came up with resulted in huge plot holes or just did not make any sense.
On a side note, where DID they get that number of 30,000 because by all rights, the number of soldiers that logically should have died in that battle in MW is roughly 3k but thats not the point but whatever.
Just because the game says he is bad, gives reasons, and a motivation doesnt mean it actually makes real sense.
However Im not actually interested in trying to convince people that the game fethed up on this aspect because... its the single player of MW, no one cares. It is just something that annoyed me personally

As for mine.
Matriarch Benezia from Mass Effect 1, dying because she attacks you while indoctrinated, is not the way you'd like to see her to go. Plus Marina Sirtis, so a 'Noooo' moment right there.
Agree with the Death Knight starting zone in WoW, was a nice touch by the Dev team that one.

Fallout would have been half the game if it wasn't for the Master, honestly. He is basically Virtual Life proof that the path to evil starts with good intentions.
