I usually try to stay neutral on stupid people doing stupid things, but man that was a VERY stupid idea. Who in their right mind would think a cake like that would do anything but make a whole lotta people pissed.

As far as I've been able to discern from our media, the Minister didn't know about the cake. She was there because it was the opening of an art exhibition that sought to highlight the plight of African women. She was asked to cut a cake and agreed. If she'd refused there'd been debate, if she didn't there'd been debate. Damned if she did, damned if she didn't.


And this is said as someone who is politically opposed to our current government.

Unless the cake is meant to be humourous, I find it rather distasteful.

The wife is as weird as me, but can bake like Darth Vader (if Darth Vader could bake). I've had transformer cakes, alien vs. predator battleifield cakes, a tank rolling over a mound of swiss chocolate cakes for a certain "over the hill birthday" and of course the epic Stitch (of Lilo and Stitch) cake that started it all.

Tbone and Rodney were very impressed.
