Boreale wouldn't play by the rules, he would pack all his pawns in drop pods and attempt to encircle the enemy king.

My vote has to go to Vect. He's been running The Dark Eldar for how long now? I think he can handle a simple game of chess, after all isn't managing all the Kabal's basically a massive multi dimensional game of chess with an endless number of players, and losing equals death? Tzeentch would more than likely play chess in such a way as to make the game last DAYS, but not necessarily win,

The Emperor

He'd take so long thinking about his first move as he sits there motionless on his throne, a cloud of flies buzzing around his face (he hasn't aged well at all) and an awful rotting smell suffusing the air around him, that eventually any opponent would just get up and leave.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I think the swarmlord could beat anyone at chess.

That's how it went down during the battle for Macragge.

Yeah, I agree, tzeentch isn't it. Tzeentch is equally likely to win a game as he is to lose the game on purpose to further his incalculably nefarious plans.

gpfunk wrote:I think Ghazzy would beast at chess. He believes hard enough that he will win

I hate to say it, but I think I have to agree here. If Ghaz believes hard enough that he's going to win, then he's going to win. It doesn't matter what moves his opponents make.

Though Creed does take a very close second.

I'd also chip in that a Lord Commissar makes it in my top bracket. At the beginning of the game, he executes one of the pawns, and suddenly all the other pieces fight twice as hard.

I'd have to say magnus. He would let the other player go first, and then he would sit their and think about his next move...for eternity...or until the other player dies or gives up.

Losing on purpose doesn't really make him bad though.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it.

I'd say Bronislaw Czevak or Jaq Draco would be a neat opponent... They've both been in the black library after all.

Besides, Csevak will just let his book give him directions XD

Gazghul would be best because as soon as he starts to lose he would smash the board to pieces and force his opponent to admit defeat and resign.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Lord Kharn would obviously win because as soon as the first piece is moved Kharn would rage quite and the opponent would end up in pieces.

Would have to agree with Orikan the Diviner. This is a Necron who can, literally, travel into his own past to change events to ensure that his various plans and prophecies do, indeed, come to pass.

Beat him in chess? He goes back in time and murders your grandparents before your parents are even born.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Tzeentch beats him by convincing him that it in his best interest to lose. Then Tzeentch forfeits just to troll him.

He wouldn't even be able to move the pieces.

And Kaldor Draigo would win, well, because HE MAKES IT HAPPEN.

Creed would probably routinely play Abaddon just to pull out a Baneblade from under the table

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.

The Twilight Zone

Creed outflanks a titan to put Eldrad in check, but Eldrad uses divination to re deploy his board so he has a pawn take the titan.

Against Tzeenech, Creed outflanks a titan to put him in check, but the Tzeenech king is the changeling and it ends up Creed is in check.

Then Creed outflanks another titan...

I'm ultimately going to have to go with Tzeentch here as well followed by Ghazkull just because #1 Tzeentch can win even if he looses and like has been said before if Ghaz believes hard enough then he can win!
