It's so flat and underwhelming that it just doesn't work on both a modeling level and a counts-as level. It doesn't fit the aesthetic of Space Marines, and it doesn't even look like something the IG would use on a dare.
That and the sides of the tracks are smooth, no segments or whatever you call them.
