Surprised nobody had noticed these chaps; they not cheap at €69.99 (or €17.00 each), but they'd make a nice squad of not-Custodes or not-Minotaurs. From their slightly shaky start of ridiculously busy detail, Hitech seem to have calmed their style down somewhat; I might actually treat myself to a box.

Someone out there who plays Space Sharks is going "Yesss!!!!!!".

I actually picked up some Hi-Tech Miniatures a couple of weeks ago - their Mechanicus-y Terminators (6 of them, including the Standard Bearer). Very nice models actually.

These... I dunno. I like 'em... but then they have a big brush on their backs.

Oh boy. The giant crests are awful. I like the rest of the design.... But my goodness those crests are just terrible.

I think I would have bought a lot of these if it wasn't for the giant molded in crests on their backs.

Nice models but at that price? No thanks. Makes FW look like value for money in comparison and that's saying something...

I kinda like them. I'd like to know how regular terminator arms look on them. I'd have no use for that weapon config.

Gotta say, not lovin the crests. The rest looks pretty good, but for counts as custodes or grey knights, those crests just are not working.

Those are horrible.

The Crests or whatever you want to call them are comically large.

The Shoulder Pads would make Warjacks jealous.

I mean, having been messing around with some of the old 90's era GW knock-offs, at least these are well-executed. The designs are totally OTT, but at least the sculpts look sharp.

I don't see the hate. I thought they looked pretty cool as a niche theme (Minotaurs/other similar themes).

They're not my thing, but, if you're going for that theme, I think they're solid.

I don't. I've got nothing against the Spartan Marine theme, but sticking a helmet crest on a not-helmet piece of armour and giving them pauldrons bigger than their breastplates makes them a poor execution of that theme.

Warhell?

The brush part of the crests seems like it would be relatively easy to remove. These seem a little more cohesive than some of their previous offerings, some of which looked like the sculpting equivalent of mad libs.

I've got some minotaurs, but I'd never get these guys... the ridiculously large crests, shoulderpads and large boxy weapons are just not my style, but hey to each his own... and at least it gives people out there a choice for another 'pre-heresy' kind of terminator. But removing the crest would be automatic for most folks I guess. After that they wouldn't be so bad, I actually thumbs up the chest design... oh wait, thats just the hero model nevermind. However, Scibor's spartans are comparable in price and just more elegant models, and closer to the new forgeworld design. The shoulderpads and weapons would fit on a true-scale terminator if you got the cash though.

Everything's good but the weapons and the terrible, awful crests. I wonder if they'd look better with a crest of iron spikes, perhaps as Iron warriors or Alpha legion?
