Ok the last Terrortoise for a while is the bonehead (a happy push mold / sculpting accident on his head).

Different colourings again (variation is the spice of life (plus I used the wrong paint lol).



I shall have to get a decent group shot at some point so you can see how small these guys are, even compared to the gnomes.

An un-original idea this time, pinched from a thread right here on the Dakka Dakka forums: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/410809.page.. There will be a fair amount of Greenstuff work on him before he's finished though.

I have made a start on a couple more guys so should have some more progress shots at or before next weekend depending on the weather (read: light source).

This is all i've really done recently:


But I took this of the gnomes (sorry about the lack of focus, my fiancee has taken my old camera up to her uncle's retirement do so i'm using my new one which I still haven't figured out):

Been a bit slow this week but I got a couple of things to show, however due to DST i'm not going to be able to get any new photos until the weekends so i'm going to stagger the release of photos so I don't end up going a week without blog updates like I did this week....

First up a female vampire for the vampire hunters campaign (more angles on the blog).


The next guys (Northlanders) are now almost fully painted but I didn't finish in time for photos today so you'll have to cope with the WIP shot until I can get one.

Some really neat work, love the female vampire after seeing the extra pics on the blog, the pose is great, full of menace.

Steelheads from Privateer press, one of them is body and legs the other is just the body with legs from the Empire militia set.

Just to remind you though my project is 30-32mm scale, those guys are pretty big (or would be if standing up straight at least lol).

Ok another update, this time to the Kroot / Birdmen warband, trying to get a bit more dynamism (is that a word)... into the warband, one more angle on the blog:

I've converted up another NPC for the Vampire hunters campaign, the Kislev scout who recruits the warbands to come to the aid of the village.
Scouts also have additional rules in the campaign and can provide an early warning system for the village should the undead forces attack.

More northlanders to add to the 4 already completed, these guys still need more paint work though (I painted them at night, and my lighting arrangement is not at all great).

There's a rear angle on the blog too .

An update today on the second to last NPC I need to make for Nachtdorf (for the vampire hunters campaign).

this next one is an oldie, but I think I will recycle this conversion and some new wolf beast conversions into the project (re-painted). Another angle on the blog.

A Small amount on progression on the terrortoise, and another lobster beast:

The lobster beast looks a little cartoony, a tiny bit Pokemon-y. The terratoises look great as per usual, how are they built exactly? The torso is a shortened Orc or something right?

Well the lobsters are from an anime "godzilla" themed type game so that's not really suprising.

The terrortoise are based on Avatars of War dwarves, the only bits that arn't are the weapons and the shells / heads which I sculpted myself.

its a privateer press Khador mode, a Kossite woodsman I think.

Almost finished the 2nd shrimp / lobster beast, just the feet to finish.

Terrortoise update (more angles on the blog). This is the model i'm likely going to use as the leader, he needs more gear on him and a weapon (obviously) but he's pretty much there now.
