Two models finished within days, this level of productivity is unheard of!

The black primed assault marines were generating swear words the likes of which the world has never heard so they have been put on indefinite hold. If they do make an appearance odds on they won't be yellow.

Getting this guy done didn't take too long, I spent the most time faffing around with what colour to paint his helmet which went from white to red and then black. It might not be the pro way to do it but painting yellow over white is far less stressful than working up from black, the white undercoat also makes the armour look nice and clean which makes sense since Sternguard know better than to get stuck in messy cc like an ork.

The next model up should be the sternguard sergeant, I'll try and get him done this weekend but 3 whole models in a week may prove to be too physically draining, I'm only human.

My comments have been described variously as rabid, pig-ignorant, and stultifyingly ill-informed.

As promised one completed Imperial Fist Sternguard Sergeant...oh wait I mean one random experiment in stealthy camouflaged power armour.

A while back I picked up a tactical squad but never got round to painting them up so like many other unfortunate models they've being doing an awesome job of dust collecting. However last night after playing a hell of a lot of World of Tanks I had camouflage on the brain so I had a crack at recreating some on this Marine.

Not to blow my own trumpet but I think it turned out pretty well. It's not based on any particular camouflage scheme, I just got stuck in and painted what looked about right.

Sorry for the massive wall of pictures but it's really hard to capture the camouflage without scaling the images up a litte.

I kept everything as muted as possible hence the dulled metals and colour coordinated puirity seals. The wonky suppressor on the pistol was just me having a little fun with the idea of a stealth marine.

This was meant to be a little side project just for fun but now I'm considering painting a whole squad like this. I think the Black Ops Not-Marines from Anvil Industries http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=77_107&product_id=285 armed with http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=60_87&product_id=307 would look awesome.

Oh and just for fun...

Must be a faulty auspex, I can't see him anywhere.

Nice job all around, I would maybe add a grey thats a bit brighter to the camouflage to make the areas a bit more noticeable, but thats just me.
