Fantastic, detailed post as always, man. I'm definitely inspired to try out some (non GW perhaps) Green Stuff, and do some modelling! So thanks for doing this, and hopefully I'll get a blog going too.

Working on two normal chaos chariots, was debating if I should make their marks obvious. Decided instead to magnetize heads so I could swap them out.

What are the Head's option?

The kit comes with a head that's marked/modelled for each mark. Khorne has a demon-y head with the symbol of Khorne engraved on his forehead, Nurgle has a diseased, bloated head, Slaanesh has an alien-like head with the Slaanesh symbol on it, and Tzeentch has something that looks like a creepy genie. I'm going to paint each of them very vivid colors, and then swap them out depending on what mark I use in the list. So I can just stick the red Khorne head on to make it a little clearer it's a Chaos Chariot of Khorne.

So much hate for assembling... but once these guys are done I'll have a fully painted 2500 army! After almost exactly a year.

While waiting for primer to dry, got magnetizing done for both chariots. Easy mark switches!

I am moderately intrigued.

Trying for an interesting texture on the shields. Not sure if I want to leave it on the symbols for a rusted effect or leave it on the shields as they'd be flat otherwise. Going to leave it for now and go back to decide once other colors are in.

Out of nowhere, an update! Trying for some khorne halberds and shields. Really happy with the shields, still have to finish a lot of the rest though.

Giving my new fancy Raphael brush a try. Going for super thin layers, more than I usually do. Really happy with results for midtone, still have to highlight.

Thanks for the continued updates! How did you make the Halberds? I have sprung for a new box of WoC and am considering doing the same.

I have considered using the parts from the Chaos Knights kit--some of them definitely look like halberds. Or did you just buy halberd arms? (always an option)

Totally just bought the halberds. I'd imagine you could hack together some stuff if you can find a good halberd top to replace the axes that the kit comes with, though!

Fur being finished, in progress. My cat is supervising diligently.
