GW wanting to make money is fine, hell every company wants to make money, its how you go about it and the treatment of your customers. When you start nickel and diming people, grossly inflating your products, starting embargos, alienating customers and releasing poor products while being told they are gold is when you have full reason to start questioning and disliking the business decisions of a company. Do I need to quote Rick Priestley again?

2: I read Dakka Forum for a long time and since weeks, each time GW do something, people bashing on it and that become ridiculus.

You want to change game, do it. Don't said I hate that, I wont play it anymore. Just shut up and do it.

When you show me a picture/video of GW enslaving people, destroying the rain forest, selling urianium to North Korea. Buycott GW, burn it, do or said anything you want and you will be right.

For now, all I read are cry babies getting an erection each time they hate GW.

I like the game, the gaming system, the backgound they create since 20 years. The increasing price piss me off a lot. Using lawyers agains other compagnies or writer because they used a name or a the minis look as the same of GW, I dont care. Samsung and Apple do the same thing. Do you stop using Samsung or Apple's products?

I will not stopping playing 40K because of the $$$ or what GW did. If another game is more fun, I will change.

But think about that. When other games will grow up, make more money. The same people bashing on GW will bashed on Infinity, Flame of war or other game.

See above. There really is no point in talking to you if you're going to take the above attitude. Take a look at who Rick Priestley is, you might learn something there champ.

People say 'hate' because it's a short and powerful word. The word 99% of us should be using is 'dislike'.

Ah, there you go, Rick Priestly is the guy that invented warhammer 40k and was the head of the studio and with the company for 25 years. He left the company because they became nothing then a machine trying to suck money out of people (read my sig for the direct quote).

Here's the thing, GW isnt even doing that, they have steadily been losing sales volume over the last 10 years, which means people are leaving in droves and their only solution has been to raise prices and alienate people. They dropped an embargo on austrailia because people were finding a way around GWs out dated "historical" exchange rates.

To compare it back to Apple, I own an apple laptop, iPhone and iPod, and I have had zero complaints about all these products, I update them for free, and are a wonderful tool in my day to day life, iOS 6 I heard was bit of a mess, Im sticking with mine to they hammer out the issues but Im not being forced to upgrade at all to stay current. If one of them breaks I have a warrenty and get a new one with no questions asked. Long story short, apple makes me feel they want me as a customer and sell a quality product. GW however does not, Ive played this game since 1992 when I was 8, Ive seen them go from a company that liked and helped out its fanbase to a company run by people with a huge disconnect from the front line. I even worked for them for awhile, and in that time I gained an insight on the level of ignorance they teach. The biggest fault of GW is that they dont listen, granted they get a lot of stupid complaints, but if they listened they could easily turn around thier image and make even more money. And thats the point Im getting at with you, we get pissed because we know they can be and have been better, they can improve the business model and make people like them, they just choose to make themselves out to be dicks, and they are paying for it, slowly but surely.

Ravenous D, I stop playing 40k at the 3ed because nobody I knew played. I start again at the 6ed (the gaming system) and I like it. Between those edition, I play Magic the Gathering (they dont suck your money, they go vampires on it). Everybody know that they have a bad business plan and no one know why. If I stopl playing warhammer, I will go back in Magic or play games like Zombie??? or those from Fantasy Flight Games. GW will not die, they will be bought by someone bigger... (mmm may be is the point).

If we go back to the general topic. I'm piss off by people who hate GW on Dakka because each time the topics go off road.

You hate/dislike a gaming compagny because you don't like the product/gaming system not because of there business decisions.

The only time you will hate GW for the corporation side is because you have money involved in GW and you loose it.
