You wrote this "Why in god's name would you put Hurt Locker down as a good, let alone great war movie?" and went on to complain about the accuracy. When questioned on that, you stated that you were more sensitive to matters of accuracy due to personal experience.
Now, from that one of two things is possible;
1) You believe that all movies should be judged by your personal opinion of them
2) You're backtracking, but not doing a very good job of it
Meanwhile, I don't get why this has to be a thing. Someone said they liked a movie, you questioned that. I even agree with you that it isn't a very good movie, I just said that maybe there was more to it than accuracy. And now you're doing I don't know what.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Well, mostly it's an issue of you deciding what my response meant and then calling me shallow based on that. Came off a bit like a dick. Got the ol' hackles up.

Have most of the ones already listed. Can't believe that the following were left out.
The Gallant Hours(1968-featuring James Cagney as Adm. Halsey)
The Boys From Company C(1978)
and
The Deer Hunter(1978)
Also must have missed
The Green Berets(1968-John Wayne) rare pro-Vietnam war movie.
Edit = OOOPS, Can't believe that I left out the following:
The Dirty Dozen(Could loose my man card for leaving this out)
Mosquito Squadron
The Guns of Navarone
Force 10 from Navarone

I think my reading was pretty straight forward. You told someone that a movie shouldn't belong in a list of great movies, that sounds a lot like you giving an opinion on a film's objective quality, and not just your personal opinion.
And I didn't call you shallow. I said the way you were looking at a movie was shallow. There's a massive difference.
