To put it very simple. The boss of the place was a dumb old-ish woman who should've never been allowed to start a business, much less a mini-zoo. The reptiles we're mostly there because "I LIKE ANIMALS SEE?!". The old bitch couldn't even train a fething jack russel. I'm glad I was there for a bit because I think I saved quite a few reptiles who we're quite simply in the wrong fething set up. She probably wasn't even capable of keeping an anolis, much less a tegu. Not to fething mention a 6 foot rock monitor quite capable of ripping you a new one.

Da wut.

I wish that was a joke. I'm happy to say though she wen't broke in about a year and all the animals we're sold to more respectable people with proper enclosures.

I feel no pity for all the debt she must have right now. That whole thing was a giant wreck from day 1.

Also, that monitor scared the living gak out of me. It's the only monitor lizard I've been within touching distance of. Those eyes just bleed intelligence. It would constantly stare at you and if you got too close to the enclosure (employee only area) it would try to whip you with his tail. (once nailed a colleague on his knee, guy didn't walk for a couple weeks).

Staring into that fiery orange ring that was it's eye was a very odd experience, because it was most definitely staring straight back. Never beat it at staring competition either... Feeding him was awesome though.

Never been much of reptile man myself, but those milk snakes do look awesome. If you got a Corn Snake, you could call it Kelloggs. Kelloggs Corn Snakes, anybody?

In case anybody wanted to see him, here's my Gargoyle Gecko. Haven't decided on a name because I can't determine it's gender. If it's male, I'm going to call it Odin, female, Sol.



It's pretty swell. Anyway, I hope to get the Kingsnake soon, I'm just hoping to get my mother to agree (a bit of a problem in terms of the mice, the fact it's a snake...) and then we're pretty much ready to go.

Update: today I got a Motley Carolina Corn Snake. It's pretty nice, and I would definitely recommend Reptiles Plus as a shop. It's pretty swell.
