Anti-Armour Swiss Guard

Newcastle, OZ

Necrons and GK mostly here.

With a splash of BA and daemons.

There are three local IG players, but they don't come out for tourneys. It's just not worth the travel time when their stuff isn't on the table long enough to actually PLAY a game.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I seem to face Guard every 2nd game around my local scene.

I faced 3 guard armies in 6 games at a tournament. All pretty much the same list.

2-3 Vendettas, 2 Manticores, a single LR, loads of Chimera's, Plasma/Melta Vets, and a large blob with autocannons behind an aegis. Ohh...and Marbo

My typical list is a big of a hardcounter to this...so I enjoyed it.

There's one guy around that plays a list with Ratlings and Basilisks, and without Vendettas. He gets many props for that,

8,000 pts and counting
1,000 points, now painting.

I currently play or spectate at three different stores in my local area. The largest 40k group in the area has two or three Guard players in it, and I'm one of them (out of about sixteen regular players). The smallest 40k group has about seven players, and three of them (again, counting myself) run Guard. The shop in the middle has about twelve regular players, and I've only seen one running Guard. So (in my area at least), they're not poorly represented, but they're less common than Space Marines (Vanilla and Variant Chapters), Chaos Daemons, Dark Eldar and Necrons.

I thought this lineup sounded familiar, then I realized you're in my meta. disregard what I said before, SkaerKrow has a much better grasp of that meta than I.

My Cold War NATO IG, love to know what you think
