Yep yep. Repair on a 4+ with a re-roll, yes please. Also 2 wounds, 2 base attacks and
Ld 9, with crusader seals, power axe, and bolter standard, and choices from the same armoury that Marshals (captains) have access to, plus they keep all of their starting gear when they upgrade, so one of my favorite (not necessarily
good, but hilarious) techmarines is:
A marine with 2 wounds and
Ld 9 who can make any model in his squad BS5 if he does not shoot, and who gets to re-roll Righteous Zeal moves. I give him two master-crafted plasma pistols and a servo-harness, meaning three twin-linked plasma pistol shots per turn and with a backup flamer or bolter if necessary, plus an iron halo and a power axe for the AP2 goodess. Then I give him Bionics and Terminator Honors and sometimes a jet-pack for that assautly / movementy goodness. Or a bike for the T5.
This means that in a given turn he can: move twelve inches, fire a trio of twin-linked plasma pistols, or twin-linked bolter (if on bike and not jump pack) or regular bolter or flamer, then charge inflicting Hammer of Wrath attacks. Then, in combat with the Suffer Not the Unclean vow, strikes at I1 with 5 attacks at
Str 6 AP2 and 2 attacks at
Str 9 AP2. His defenses include 2+/4++ and
FNP(6+), and, if part of a command squad (without jetpack or bike usually), his defenses are 2+/4++
FNP(5+) and then another 6+ save if he fails all of that.
