I'm going to regret saying this, but my favourite chapter is the Ultramarines, followed by the Grey Knights.

i became a fan of the Salamanders ever since Codex: Armageddon. I lost a lot of games, though, because they came as initiative 3, and it actually got me out of playing Space Marines for good and started a Steel Legion army. I bought some Forgeworld bits with the aspiration of making a Salamanders First Company a few years later, but that never manifested. Now I'm a Xenos player, and don't see myself going back. I blame initiative 3 Space Marines.

And how can anyone hate vikings?They are NOT werewolf wannabes since some of them ARE werewolves(13th company)

Iron Hands for their fluff, but i play ultramarines. i actually feel that i couldn't model an iron hands army and do it justice so i leave it to the pros.

The immenent codex release may be the push i need to get started on one though.

Alpha Legion. Because they are everybody. I want to build a full SM Chapter (10 Companies), with each company painted using different army schemes, for example:
Librarius - Thousand Sons
1st Company - Deathwing
2nd Company - Ultramarines
3rd Company - Salamanders
4th Company - Emperor's Children
5th Company - Black Legion
6th Company - Grey Knights
7th Company - World Eaters
8th Company - Blood Angels
9th Company - Iron Warriors
10th Company - White Scars

Crimson Fist actually. Dunno why, but I think it's because of all the cool artwork I saw of them when I was a kid

Minotaurs or Excoriators.......but I bet nobody knows about then.

SW are too reckless in my opinion. For the IoM to survive you need space marines like the Excoriators- attrition fighters that know the value of their lives and will always lead the last stand against the most horrible foe.

Marines Malevolent..cause they are Marines..and are Malevolent, and only care about results...if your gonna go grimdark go all the way.

That and the Minotaurs, I like my astartes with nasty attitudes

Makes playing my Tau much more refreshing.
