Just be sure to offer to explain your army to your opponent pre-game, and ask them if they know what a few key parts ( the unusual ones) in your army do, if they say no, explain it honestly.

Beyond that there's not much you can do, but to not even offer to explain rules you know are out of the ordinary or not widely known isn't so sporting.

I choose #3. Theres a reason why I study and read all the other codices to make sure I remember their most important special rules and units. If you dont have a codex and your buddies do, you can always ask to borrow it before a tournament .

Target, you make a point and I do that even in friendly games. But sometimes wont catch everything like example i get many opponents who will shoot at my 30 man blob squad with a 4++ save and once they notice they arent killing enough, they stop
Shooting the unit and totally forget to shoot my banner command squad from turn 1, which is priority number one. Even though I tell them at the beginning of the game that the banner gives my bikes salvo 4 shots at 24in. Both my blobs get 4++ saves. And all the top players already know all of this .
