I wonder if the new SM codex will be less focused on the Codex: Astartes style chapters and just on SM in general. That way BT (and other divergent chapters, of which there are many) would be well serviced by it, and it's supporting supplements. The last codex was very obviously concentrating on the codex standardised view of the SM, and I think that is skewing people's opinions of the new book.
