Bitch please! The Megalara garuda is some scary gak when it comes to Wasps. Only discovered 2 years ago in Indonesia.

I think the reason that thing was only discovered two years ago was because they killed the gak out of everyone else who saw them. Holy crap.

That looks like something from alien.

They are quite small though compared to the Asian Giant Hornet, about 1.3 inches long.

The Asian Giant Hornet is 2 inches long.

EDIT: Or not...according to nat geo, megalaras can also be 2 inches long.

Fat men are terrible against Cazadors. Way too slow.

Wow, awesome pet! The best I've had was when we were looking after a 5 foot long Murray Darling Python while it's owners were in Japan for a year...
It was very friendly, I would sit down and stroke it and it would fall asleep on my lap! You could hear it snoring!

I assume the scorpion is venomous? If so, do you have to take any precautions while holding it? Is it aggressive?

I read somewhere that the larger the scorpion, the less potent the venom.

Also, the pincer-stinger ratio is an indicator, smaller the pincers, deadlier the venom

How do you accidentally get a Mantis Shrimp?

Seems like the sort of pet that would have all sorts of warning labels.

Its called a "hitch hiker", saltwater reef aquarium typically have "live rock" which is just a fancy way of saying porous rock harvested from reefs, etc. that contain vital bacteria, microorganisms, etc. and the occasional pieces of coral. Some of these rocks have cavities into which nuisance organisms (such as mantis shrimp, bristle worms, lobster, crab, etc.) occasionally hide in and hitch hike their way into the tank.
