I'm bending my head to try and make sense of this. At what point of their apparent death does the Dark Eldar's soul finally get claimed by Slaanesh?

Only Eldar get claimed by Slaanesh, normally. DE specifically try to avoid this.
If that bit of flesh goes on for too long, or the regeneration goes too long the pansy is gonna die.
It just takes a while for the wimpiest Chaos God to get a hold of their souls.

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

Eldar souls can be deathly persistent. If they have the will power some of their soul can remain with their remains for quite a long time, and with the right catalyst (Read path of the renegade) people can be regenerated from thousands of years ago. But the shorter the time between death and rebirth the easier it will be, and the more sure you will be that you are reviving exactly what you want to revive (Daemons can hitch a lift on the rebirthing train).

It's OK. They will end up at the Schola Progenium where they will die training to be Commissars.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

I'd like to volunteer to join the forces of the Necrons. Obviously since we're positing ideal scenarios, I'd like to be given the premium biotransference treatment so I can occupy a body from the high-end courts of the Necron dynasties. One where my mind and personality are perfectly preserved.

Flesh is a relic, a mere vessel. I'll hand over my flesh, as a new future awaits me. Many millions of years of traipsing around the galaxy seeing wondrous things, and laying eyes on the awesome power of the celestial orrery. I would literally wait thousands of years for the crypteks to make the calculations when deciding to snuff out a single star, just to witness the event when they swipe it from existence.

If I had my choice I would join the bolter bit...I mean Adepta Sororitas. What can I say, there is something about a gal in heavy armour who always has a light.

Most likely I'd be a member of Chaos Cultists. More specifically a Plague Zombie.

Well if you were born into the universe of WH40K, around 70% chance you would be a hard toiling, oppressed, brainwashed, emperor-fearing citizen of one of the hive planets.
15% chance, you would be an ork.
14% chance, you would become bio-degradable material for one of the tyranid hive fleets (so basically, tyranid).

And 1% chance you could be one of the above list. With a higher chance for IG cannon fodder than anything else.

FOR THE GREATER GOOD!!

I'd want to fight on the front lines of the most technologically advanced species in the galaxy. Pulse rifle in hand gunning down the multitudes of ignorant races and species denying the greater good when it's obvious that its the one true path. I'd want to be a Shas'nel (Cadre Fireblade). The very best at the Fire Warrior's art of combat. Brutally efficient. I'd still get to be in the heart of the fighting; directing those under me and greatly respected for giving up the prestige of a combat suit. Die for the Tau'va or die for nothing
