Thanks for the positive response!
Yea, it last long time, it is the biggest project for me. Magnetizing whole model is very simple. Most of the relevant joins of parts looks like it is prepared for it.
The 'realistic' look of the base is done by heavy drybrush, pigments and foliage. Fallen tree it is not a birch tree, it is only an old local tree, heavily weathered by planetal weather and sun.

Good looking stuff here, cool to see all the variations.

Mine are pretty boring by comparison.

Painted and magnetized for a buddy. Not based as he hadn't made up his mind about the basing.

My riptide having one arm wasn't the plan at first but unfortunately part of my desk broke and fell on him breaking booth boosters and both arms. I manged to fix his right side but I was unable to fix the the left side. After that incident I decided to make my whole army look like it was currently in a fight with Farsight loyal tau.

These are excellent. The riptides always give that sense of apple products where they hace that iDevise sense to them. Sleek simple and attractive. Well done

Nice set of riptides!

Here is mine. Fal'Shia sept(bleached bone sept color). The scheme is inspired by Neil Greens Tau models. Texts and symbols are freehands.

Whole model is magnetized for the easiest transport.

I hope you like it.
Edit: corrected second link

How on earth did you free hand the text and symbols? Did you use a brush or some kind of paint pen? I just can't wrap my brain around that. This is the kinda thing I would expect to see on the GW website as an alternate color scheme to the default one.

Oy! Wuzzat?

@Fryboth: I have nothing special for painting freehands. A Brush with perfect tip and tint paints are basic. The rest is practicing on paper and models.
This color scheme is not my own, it is evolution of paint scheme I first seen in WD384 and used by Neil Green(E'avy Metal painter) for his Tau. So it is scheme made by GW.
