Wagden, or something. Not very good with Orky names.
You're painting is fantastic! Is this your first army? Because if it is that's incredibly impressive work, especially for learning it your self. Miles better than me.

Hey man! glad to see your giving some squigs a go! Not trying to push my own stuff but heres mine, which turned out really well. you've got an excellent base so far for your squigs, but with a little GS work you could eally bring them to life what do they plan to be? bikes? This squig was gona be a bike until I realised how big id made him!

I can see that your using a sort of hard clay as the basis? Thats a good idea This dude is actually a wooden ball for the core. I then layered around that to create a nice surface to GS to.
I found the best way to create eyes was to attach a ball of GS to the front of the face so it was sticking out, then using long thin sausages build up the eye lids so that it leaves a nice raise for the brow and indents to the sides of the eye.

For the lips I used the same technique. I started with the teeth out of the mouth and then used long sausages to create the lips and build them up.

The skin, the skin was actually the easiest and most fun bit! I used plenty of reference photos to give me a good impression, but in the end I basically took a clay shaping tool that had a small ball on the end and I would gently press that in to create some indents, but at the same time form ridges between two indents. the best bit about the skin is that it doesn't need to be smooth and you can simply apply a flattened piece of GS and then press into it with a ball shape to get a really easy and effective rough skin

Keep posting

Don't shield yourself with age.

You can be good regardless of the age and you can be bad regardless of the age.

I am old and I know I could learn a lot from people that are half my age...

My 2 cents:

- double check mould lines
- paint slower (patience = precision, I am still looking for my equilibrium in serenity... you can see that on my paintjobs... )

Keep practice!

GL! and Cheers!

I was reading through and was going to post a similar comment. QFT.

Yeah man, dip the bases into some sand or something.

I like the rough, bloody way you showing up with. Keep that

You could've done some more Orkish modifications on this vehicle.

I'm not sure about this sportscar, maybe you're wasting good bits on it. The painting isn't finished I guess, but the fireflames doesn't look that good til now either.

I bet if you keep this bloody scheme up on all your figures they will be looking pretty badass together and form a cool army that looks like they're in the middle of a sick war.

Your stuff is looking great. The biggest thing you're lacking is finished bases. They don't have to be amazing, scenic things, just use a little bit of pva (paint it on thinly with a brush), dip in some sand, let it dry, then paint and drybrush it. I tend to do my bases before I have a lot of work done on the figure, so the drybrushing doesn't mess up my paint, but with orks, it could work to use as muddy feet, etc.

Anyway, good work and keep it up!

Oh nice! that model is perfect for a garguant I was infact watching that star wars not that long ago (but then there on every bloody christmas tbh!)

From what I can see though, id think about adding some more supports in? but tbh orks probably enjoy the idea of it collapsing at any moment, adds to the heat of battle

Where to start -

Understand some of these will be based on my preferences, so take them with that in mind.

First, overall your stuff looks great. Everything looks tied together well, and you look like you've got a plan and are following it. Something I've found a lot of great painters lack is the plan.

The gore - IMO less is more. But I'm a grouchy old bugger, so that could be me.

Looks like you are using white to prime? If so, that can lead to some issues with depth of color, esp with darker shades and metallics. If you don't want to use black, what about the much dreaded and debated grey?

Not really sure why you're going metallic then body paint color on the vehicles - I'd skip the metalics except for plates to show patches and so forth, and just go with the strait body colors. I'd also get a couple of different shades of red to mix and match colors. Or go really old school and mix your own.

Thanks for you comment the reason I prime in White is for the leather work and the skin brining in black makes the skin look weird :/ and I will try and work on the gore and metal work thanks again

I'm odd - I prime black, then base coat off white for the skin. Been experimenting with some other base skin tones as well, such as camel with a burnt umber wash.

But I'm not married to green orks.
