Additionally, we have the oldest living (non-dreadnought) loyalist space marine as our chapter master.
Dante is such a bad-ass. I really hope they make him and Astaroth playable with the 6E update. I forget which of the two of them was I6 which is totally pointless now that he's forced to use an unwieldy weapon. Totally defeats the purpose of being I6. All they gotta do is make the axe a chapter relic so it's a power axe that doesn't have unwieldy and bam, instantly pretty awesome again.
It's Dante, although they both have high
init with unwieldy axes.
I said to someone else that they should at least get a special rule where they ignore unwieldy on a turn that they charge or something.
It would definitely be nice to either not pay 225ish for guys that can't hold their own against any other model in their price range, or pay that and get models that can.
Astaroth's initiative is 5, which is standard for captains. I can see someone taking a power axe on their own scratch build captains especially in artificer armor but once you hit I6? Nah, man. I want to utilize that. I'm sure you do too, if you actually play Blood Angels.
If they keep him with
EW (probably because so far each 6E codex has at least one named
HQ guy with it and it fits his fluff best), and make it so he's I6 with an AP2 weapon, I can see them keeping him at 225ish points. Depends on
BA specific warlord traits he comes with and if he provides significant force multiplication, but that seems reasonable to me.
