It's just not good when people put unnecessary things on their statements, like "in my opinion" or whatever. It's unnecessary (because of course it is your opinion!), and it just makes the statement feel like it has no confidence behind it, or that the person saying it is afraid of disagreement. Speak with conviction and have confidence in yourselves, everyone!

And get attacked by anyone who disagrees on the charge that you're trying to peddle your own opinion as fact. True story.

Except so many other chaos things are just "Chaos (Name)". Chaos Rhino. Chaos Predator. Chaos Vindicator. Chaos Land Raider. Chaos Bikers. Chaos Marines. Chaos Terminators. Helbrutes are just team-swapped Dreadnaughts with more corruption and chaos, why do they get special treatment?
The Ork comparison only works if Trukks were called "Ork Rhinos" and Battlewagons were "Ork Land Raiders."
Difference being Rhinos, Predators, Vindicators, Land Raiders, Bikers, Marines, and Terminators are the exact same outside of a USR here and there and slight difference in wargear.

Helbrutes have a giant major difference in their Crazed! table. They physically play different, in a major enough way, giving them their own title works.

It's a cool model. Painting one was fun. Now I can paint one with different weapons without having to convert anything.

Now then, GW. Make me some multi-part plastic CHOSEN!

You're wrong (said with the requested confidence).

Not everything is opinion, some things are facts. When a post contains a mixture of fact and opinion, for the purposes of clarity, it is important to distinguish them. In casual conversation (such as on a hobby forum) using academic citation and the like to back up facts is over the top, in this situation you'd hope most people aren't trying to be wilfully deceptive. As such it is easier to just show where the border between facts and opinion lays.

Sorry for OT...

Getting back on topic, will using spare Helbrute arms on a DV dread require much converting? For some reason I don't think GW will give away a bunch of spare shoulder bits, which means the new arms would need to be bodged on to the existing shoulders of the DV dread.

The difference between a fact and an opinion is non-existent when you take it from an individual's perspective. A fact is essentially something that is true, and an opinion is something that a given person believes is true. For example, "salmon is tasty" is true, and "salmon exist" is also true (ignoring existential stuff). So, really, whenever anyone states their opinion, they're stating it as they would a fact - because they believe it is true. Now, of course there are other differences to consider, like how demonstrable something is, but someone saying "salmon is tasty" or "the new kit is bad" is very obviously not a demonstrable fact like "10cm is longer than 5cm", very obviously their opinion. If someone takes this as meaning "This person obviously believes that nobody is allowed to dislike the new kit/salmon!", then they're being very silly. So you might say that I'm wrong, which of course you are allowed to do, and that may as well be a fact to you. Because the thing is, we're human. We never really know anything for sure, because we're literally incapable of being truly objective or omniscient. The real difference between a fact and an opinion is that a fact has some factor that thoroughly convinced us of its truth, like mathematics, but opinions have their reasons, too. This comes down to how much someone will fight for their belief. Someone making the statement "5cm is longer than 10cm" will get a lot of argument and a lot of people being very justified in pointing out that this is wrong, and marvelling in the bizarre nonsense that this person is saying, but "salmon is tasty" is just as much of a statement - just that people really shouldn't argue, because the salmon-liker didn't say "nobody dislikes salmon".

Basically, I don't know what I'm trying to explain. Dreadnoughts!

They are! I think.

They're technically multiple pieces of plastic, yes, but you can't customize them at all unless you're doing actual converting. It's a request for a proper multipart kit with different options for assembly and the like.

I know, but I read that the Helbrute kit was part of a Chaos update that included new basic CSMs, Chosen, and Havocs. I don't know how credible that rumour was, though, but I'd really love it to be true.

I aim to please! I feel like I've gone through some kind of forum initiation process by getting a quote of mine in someone's sig.
